I went to the ER last week to ensure that I didn't have a blood clot. My retired ER nurse friend insisted I go. OK fine. Most of the time I was the only person in the waiting room. One guy with a dog bite came in and later an elderly woman who had fallen down came in. Nurses were milling about, chatting and I was asked multiple times as I sat there if I needed anything. Doctor was also chatty and sat with me longer than I expected. Went to radiology for ultrasound... halls empty, lots of quiet empty space. Two days later in the news I read that the hospital is full, absolutely full of covid patients.... no room in hall ways, conference room even has patients. What?! Did this all happen the day after I was there and they rushed the article to the paper? Hell no, I can't believe it. I'm in California. The land of covid lies and lockdown.

I wouldn't necessarily brag about being a physician. My bedridden severely muscle-wasted emaciated husband with multi-organ failure was given 2 weeks to a month to live by no less than a dozen doctors. I brought him home and did a plethora of natural treatments both on my own and with the help of a microbiologist I found online (including growing and juicing my own cannibis) and it took 2.5 years but like turning a massive ship around, he slowly but surely got better and that was 10 years ago. He now works 6 days a week and is going strong. When we see any of those doctors, none of them want to know what we did but 2 of them did say, "whatever it is keep doing it." He looked worse than a concentration camp victim and had serum albumin of 1.5 at his worst.
