Eh, I had about $300k net worth at that age and don't come from wealth. Paid my way through college (parents couldn't afford to pay for it) worked for a few years, then started my own company. It mostly required working smart and hard and never getting complacent.
I was homeschooled up until college. My parents enrolled me in the school baseball team, we lived in a neighborhood with plenty of similarly aged children, and we spent a good amount of time in church. As far as I can tell, none of my siblings lack social skills (anecdotally evidenced by a close friend of mine discovering my homeschooling background during his rant about how much he disliked homeschoolers in our senior year of college -- took him years to figure it out).
Statistically, you're setting your kids up for success. I highly recommend.
Not really "fake," since these are the latest reported numbers (I'm not changing anything -- just plotting). It does require some interpretation. Clearly since November isn't over, we don't have full numbers for November. It also takes time for hospitals to report deaths. Unfortunately, image posts don't allow me to add a description -.-.
Stopped watching the NFL after the Kaepernick. Cancelled Netflix after Cuties. Haven't watched any main stream media since Ron Paul's run in 2008. Stopped using all social media in 2010.
Keep em' coming, "woke" companies. I can spend less money any day of the week.
A "null" date probably means a date corresponding to the number 0. Most servers store dates as Unix times, which are the number of milliseconds after Wed Dec 31 1969 19:00:00 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time).
And there's your null date!
(Microsoft may have their own null date. This is just the common representation.)
We're on the same page. This is the type of conversation I really enjoy having, and I think that we should have more of it. (I'm on my phone, so it's a bit difficult to write a detailed response. Sorry!)
Thank you for writing all that up! Gives me a lot to think about.
Absolutely. I don't disagree. I just find it counter-productive to make blanket statements like "immigrants should be barred from holding public office." There's no discussion there. That's not "a certain amount of naturalization." It's telling all legal immigrants that they cannot run for office, ever, even if their current representation ignores their needs.
Just made a long post about this type of general rhetoric against women and immigrants showing up here, and got downvoted into oblivion. Saw another post recently that blamed women for a black guy hitting a white guy in the head with a brick -- it had roughly 200 upvotes. I'm wondering if this is an orchestrated hit job against our community, because I haven't seen it en masse like this in the past. It's hard enough to win without our own people using a divide and conquer strategy against ourselves, so we need to nuke that behavior into orbit whenever we can.
If you're American, love our country, and eligible to run for public office, that's plenty good enough for me.
Backpedal? I illustrated a point using an example of extrapolating the actions of a small number of people to a large group. In that example, I wrote "truck" instead of "car." That detail is irrelevant to the point. How is that backpedaling?
The original comment did not contain his second sentence clarifying that he was talking about the BLM organizers. That was added later after an edit. Regardless, using a blanket phrase like "Thanks women" does not refer to only those women. Consider a statement like this:
Thanks Charlottesville protesters. Your race war rhetoric caused this and we're the victims yet again.
Why am I being downvoted? All of people involved in the truck murder and most of their supporters are Charlottesville protesters. It was even a Charlottesville protester in the truck.
Clearly "Thanks Charlottesville protesters" in this context does not refer only to the ones that ran over people with a truck. You can't make a broad statement and then clarify it by saying it meant something else.
I went through chemo about 8 years ago and none of the anti-nausea medication worked for me. If you run into that scenario, try ginger candies. Discovered them in the last month, and it was the only thing that helped with the nausea.
Best of luck! Praying for you.
