I live in Puerto Rico. They have windmills all over the entire island that haven't ever provided a single WATT of energy back to the grid.

I'm not sure we are the people who should be talking about the damage of fossil fuels when our entire energy grid is a step above Ukraine's right now & the US overlords don't even trust us to run our own power grid so they bring in 3rd parties to manage it for us.

If anything.. Puerto Rico is the shining star of why these fossil-fuel companies are still needed. Brain dead take from brainwashed politicians.

The people of Puerto Rico likely think it's an absolute joke our politicians would even feel the need to talk about this given the clusterfuck of our example as an alternative.

To be fair.. this is an administrative task. I think the reason it's illegal is because it's not supposed to be optional?

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. There would have been a huge part of me wanting to just take the charge but if that just meant someone else was coming in behind me I'm not sure how much good it would have done.

I think what they will do is Dems will switch in droves to Republicans to attempt to primary him.

We signed on to winning. He exposed the mafia. But he never killed Al Capone. I think that may be the lesson here.

In light of the week. Life is a video game. But we are losing. Not trying to be a dick but patience hasn't suited us all to well unless you didn't have shit to lose the last 2 years. I personally don't want to go through another two years of that.

However, I will. And not only that.. I saw one of the largest financial scams in history that favored the Democrats in elections.. who didn't win.. and colluded with the media, the boots on the ground.. and everyone else.

Yeah.. sorry dude. Life is a video game. It just doesn't use guns and we aren't winning it regardless.

I'll add to this:

New York Times goes after Coinbase for implementing anti-woke agendas. Then they go after Kraken for their CEO being a libertarian. These are safe exchanges.

Then they wrote darling articles about FTX and many retail users got fleeced. This is how they have written about SBF as the only people who have talked to him post collapse while he has played video games all week:

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/14/technology/ftx-sam-bankman-fried-crypto-bankruptcy.html?

Word count NYT's puff piece on SBF:

"Fraud": 0 "Enron": 0 "Crime": 0 "Illiquid": 0 "Stolen": 0 "Hidden": 0 "Criminal": 0 "Back door": 0 "He's getting sleep": 1

This is what being a Democrat donor gets you.

Per usual the Dems games of smoke and mirrors will overshadow a lot of what was good about crypto lobbying efforts OUTSIDE OF SAM.

As someone in this industry who personally knows Sam.. I'd avoid looping all of Sam's contributions as being necessarily bad. However, I'd assume Sam is FULLY BAD. This is because Sam had to balance working with the good guys or put up an illusion of doing so in order to not get eventually exposed and nuked (which did eventually happen.. we'd had enough).

An example: he donated to GMI PAC and tried to actively strong arm it even when it was clear via donation that he wouldn't have say into the direction of the capital. Some of the leaders of that actively were calling him out long before this happened. A large part of what blew this open was a crypto libertarian named Erik Vorhees calling him out for essentially trying to regulate decentralized finance, ensure we couldn't operate front ends as an industry, FTX would be one of the only regulated players, & the decentralized players are the ones who likely get fleeced here when their systems never broke. A Chinese businessman CZ from Binance found this out and pulled the plug on it all or Sam very well may have gotten away with it.

Sadly crypto can't be seen as partisan for obvious reasons. However, Sam acted like a bastion for what was good for crypto and used many insider funds to donate to things like ranked choice voting in Seattle.

The top 4 crypto friendly candidates in the senate are Cynthia Lummis (R), John Boozman (R), Ron Wyden (D) , & Kirsten Gillibrand (D) since Pat Toomey left. Yes two are

The top 4 crypto friendly candidates in the house are Patrick McHenry (R), Ritchie Torres (D), Tom Emmer (R), & Ro Khanna (D).

Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Matt Gaetz are people who are coming around to it all.

A major plus point for crypto was helping the Canadian truckers. What we thought was a plus point was citizens being able to direct capital to Ukraine but obviously Sam fucked that up.

The depth of corruption by politicians & Sam's media connections, his parents, his friends parents, & his connections to regulators is well documented. It's an absolute shame what happened.

I can't help but think that Sam was a Federal plant from early on to come in and screw up our industry we worked so hard to build. The banks saw it as a real threat and they tried to send the adults in. It was typical moral superiority to our way of life.

Crypto started out as a LIBERTARIAN EFFORT to separate MONEY FROM POLITICS. Sam destroyed any chance of that ever happening. I could probably write a book about this but let's just say the rabbit hole goes deep and the true believers in the industry will be left holding the bag, the need to comply to harsh and sometimes impossible regulations, & will ultimately be the biggest losers here.

All when FTX wasn't a crypto exchange that ran on decentralized networks. It was a centralized exchange where they controlled your money and did absolutely terrifying things with it.

Right.. so they have to just rid of Boebert and Cali will take care of the rest? What a fucking joke.

I think the most non-doomer take is they used to call races and people just gave up. Maybe our hawk eye will win us a few where they just can't fake it.

At this point the governors and secretaries of states wanting voter fraud laws are most important.

You know the only reason I realized they are still rigging the House so hard even though they know they lost was the concern that they could make Trump the speaker. Or to rug McCarthy with a pro-Trump opponent.
