My one addendum to this is use reclone with crypto or cryptomater when using google/drop box. They both provide reliable and efficient end to end encryption options. Moving away from google has been a long process for me but I’m about 95% of the way there. My gmail now is strictly for YouTube and using it as a spam “email” for a couple of social media sites I use for one off situations like fb for marketplace etc
I’m kinda confused about this. Why are we using anti-virus software in 2020? Is this a joke? If it’s a laptop managed by your IT department it’s probably best to keep our 1776 shit off our work laptops anyway. But if it’s your own computer, and it’s a PC, then windows defender is more than sufficient. Plus, not being a dumbass on the internet and refrain from impulse clicks. If this is a much larger issue, a 200$ shitnetbook with Linux is surprisingly more stable than windows PCs anyway, and doesn’t include all the telemetry.

Vaccines in general are a waste and don’t do anything positive. This is fact. Even claims like vaccines eradicated polio are complete bullshit. Cases were already dropping when the first vaccine was released. The creator of the first vaccine admitted he actually made it worse. Additionally, polio was really not that crazy in the US. Peek cases for one year reached ~60k. Paralysis was for a very small percentage of the population. Most were able to move again by the end of the week. An even smaller percentage of that small percentage were paralyzed for a month. Most recovered. They also don’t tell you that in that time kids were playing in the pesticide sprays like they were at water country theme park running through the sprinklers. Why did the Amish not suffer from polio if it was so bad? Metal toxicity from canning foods due to the world wars was also an issue. Viruses are overblown is a whole other rabbit hole I could go on forever about

I’m moving south too. This is what I’m hoping to get out of my life going forward, so I’m happy to see positive stories like this. I always hear about people moving south for fun, to miss home and go running back to family in New England. Am I nervous to leave everything I’ve ever known behind? Heck yes. But my governor is a cuck and just locked things down again back to what it was at the early days of this “pandemic”. I wouldn’t survive another winter alone cooped up in my apartment in the city. Lol a personal friend and mentor of mine moved to Germany with his German wife and children years ago to be closer to her family. After a couple years he was visiting and I picked him up from the airport. I think someone must have cut me off in traffic as I mutter “ahhh fucking douche canoe”. Now, those words alone to the average American might make someone chuckle. Maybe. If they’re apt to laugh easily and had not heard that expression before. But my friend/mentor started cracking up. And I asked what was so funny. He basically explained Germans don’t joke like we do - Funny play on words/ expressions. He said even if you literally translated the word douche and canoe together Germans would have no idea. And he finished with how he missed that about the US. It just made me appreciate being an American even more :)

For the people leaving behind their YouTube accounts. One thing I struggled with was my playlists of videos. I’m a nutrition nerd and reference old videos regularly. Make the playlist shareable via a link. Paste it to a txt file on your android phone. Using an app “Untrack me” from F-droid(where NewPipe is downloaded as well) click the link from the txt file and it opens in newpipe where you can bookmark the playlist.

Be honest. What are you doing in these situations where this can happen? Now does that apply to a majority of the people that use laptops to check FarmVille, their mail, and maybe pay some bills? The answer is no. If you are smart and stick to a few websites. And learn to not compulsively click the bright shiny buttons, you are very safe for a majority of your browsing experience.
The hardest part is retraining your brain. That url shortner can’t be trusted. That email saying your fb just experienced a hacking attempt is a phishing attempt, etc
