Each contract pays $1, so the "no" price of $.98 means the oddsmaker is saying that's the most likely outcome, meaning they are betting that the GOP does NOT win by a 210-279 margin. You have to pay 5% to take your money OUT of predictit, so that bet actually loses money even if you are right. The thing you also need to know is that all of the meaningful bets on the POTUS are CLOSED to new "traders", meaning the only people that can participate are those that already have money in the trade.
