They aren't banning carry nationwide. They are affectively affirming a Democrat scheme to ban open carry, and make concealed carry available only for people who can show "good cause" (according to the subjective opinion of the local Democrat sheriff or police chief) to need it. In most Democrat-run areas this effectively closes the door for all forms of carry for regular people who are not wealthy Democrat donors. You will never be able to demonstrate "good cause", no matter your circumstances, hence you have no right to "bear" arms anywhere except on private property where nobody can see you.
"Such an honor to meet @HillaryClinton today. Amazing talk at @twitter - full of great advice and inspiration!"
Like what could he do in advance? If the courts said he had no standing after the election to challenge it, they would have said he had no standing to challenge before the election because he had not suffered damages yet. Plus, state courts in places like PA are Democrat run, and they will get the result they want regardless of how creative they need to get with the legal process.
Yep. One more term and Trump might have flipped it. Currently, there are enough conservative judges to occasionally get good rulings on gun rights, but they are always overturned en banc, because the Democrats are statistically highly likely to get a majority on those 11 judge panels.
