Man I convinced my family to go Trump and some family friends, but I'm worried about talking to my Dem friends I've known for a long time about switching. We're in California so it wouldn't really matter but it sucks that people leave friendships over this.

Hmm Wisconsin law states that you can't buy/own a gun till 18, in most cases according to google. Is self defense the exemption? This would be a closed case if he was 18 but they will probably go hard on the underage charges.
