I'm reading The Art of the Deal and it is clear to me that Trump encountered government corruption from the very beginning of his career. When he wanted to just develop property at a good price he was turned down by the government for them to give contracts to people who mismanaged projects and wasted tax payer dollars. Reading between the lines I can see that the whole point of it was to incur massive over-spending, not avoid it. Our governments at every level are working exactly as intended, fat and bloated.
