Some of the logic in these comments seem strange. If you watch this video you should be outraged and terrified at the degree of lawlessness that has been let loose in this society. It's disgusting. Talking about the strategy of not defending yourself doesn't make a lot of sense, especially if you value your own life to any extent. Are we supposed to let a mob stomp us into a paste because we think that by doing so it will help get Trump re-elected?
I don't know anyone that knows anyone that had it. I've never even heard a story about someone's relative having it. I've never heard a rumor being passed around town that someone in the neighborhood got it.
Contrast that with AIDS. Remember, everyone knew someone that had it. Many, many people either had a direct relative that had it or someone in their social circle, extended or close, had it. It was a nearly universal experience to know or know of someone that had it.
I hate to say this but you guys provided the spark for this national nightmare. Also, my point, which you seem to miss entirely, is that I don't have any problems with the police. Why? Because I do everything they tell me. If they're nice, I do everything they tell me. If they're dicks, I do everything they tell me. They are cops. You are not "the equal" of a cop. They have unique authority. They also take unique risks. The only problem that exists is people not listening to the cops. And as I've heard the word "black" in the last month more than I've heard the word "and" in my entire life, I thought it might be worth sharing this valuable information.
Yes, it is about skin color at this point. I would not have phrased or organized something like this a month ago. After the last month, as we've been told over and over again, often by blacks, it is about race. So I am honoring their wishes. I am now thinking in terms of racial categories. Wonder how many others have gone through a similar transition as I have?
