I am pretty sure they found the pulse night club guy wasn't gay and he didn't even know the place was a gay club. He just looked up "clubs near me" then shot one up.

Brazil actually has a way better chance of a plan b working. They have had a non democratic government in living memory and about half the country still support Bolsonaro and are out in the streets supporting him.

Basically every flag officer should be fired. Where have they succeeded in the last 20 years? I mean when it comes to the navy, we lost a ship because the crew didn't know how to fight a fire. One of the most important skills a sailor can have.

I cannot believe how dystopian western civilization has gotten, and there doesn't seem to be anyway to turn it around at the moment.

It's almost like the nuke. Once the other side has it you also need to have it to be competitive. Now that the Dems have the mail in ballots the Republicans need to take as much advantage of it also to be competitive.

With Friends like this who needs enemies? We must purge the party of the McCartheys, McConnels, Grahams, etc. Or else we will never accomplish anything. They will always be working behind the scenes to sabotage us.

Dude you don't know shit about history. The founders did not say they were traitors. They said that the British government was not delivering on their obligation to give English citizens their rights, so they had the right to rebel. That's what the Declaration of Independence is. As to regard of the Federal Government interfering in State election practices. That is because of of the 14th Amendment. The Federal government decided states can't restrict voting as much. But even so the Federal government can't decide who people get to elect. Haha.

The fact that you think the Confederates were traitors says a lot. I suppose you think America should still be part of the British Empire. Also where in the Constitution does it say the feds can interfere in a state's election and stop them from electing who they want? The only restrictions on a state's government in the Constitution was that it must have a republican form of government.

A few dozen guys in Jesse James gang is nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands of men who laid down their rifles and went home. There was no risk of the south seceding again. The people were tired. And if some southerners wanted to fight a guerilla war holding elections wouldn't change anything.

Ok so they kept fighting anyways, but without support of the politicians and generals... so how would them voting help extend the war if the generals and politicians were done with it? And the vast majority of southern soldiers were sick of fighting by 1865. When Lee surrendered at Appomattox and said not to wage a guerilla war, his soldiers listened. You only had a few hold outs like Jesse James who never stopped fighting and became outlaws.

How the fuck were they going to secede again, their armies had been defeated? The only reason the congress disenfranchised whites and gave black people the right to vote was so the Radical Republicans could do whatever they wanted. Which they did for over a decade.

Ok so they committed worse atrocities against them. Doesn't mean what the Federal government did to Southern whites after the war was right.

Well when you disenfranchise all the white voters, yeah I expect them to get a little upset at the Northerner coming down to take advantage of the situation.

I don't think the British brought a lot of colonial troops to the UK. During WW1 they brought Indian soldiers to fight on the Western Front, but in WW2 their colonial soldiers fought in the Mediterranean, Africa, and in the Far East.

Knowles is still alright though isn't he?

He was actually right on Reconstruction. It was not unification. It seemed Lincoln actually wanted a reconciliation, but he got assasinated and the Radical Republicans pushed through a bunch of punitive stuff against the South and used the former slaves as a voting base.

This is exactly why she should win. Hobbs either ran the election incompetently or she was trying to cheat. Either should disqualify her.

I would be happy with just a strong governor, but an extra senate seat would be awesome. And Masters was the candidate I was most interested to see how he would govern.

Doesn't the Secretary of State handle that? How is that race going.
