I say, this campaign rally doesn't stop until we put the man back in the Whitehouse. If it's a week, a month, or an entire election cycle is irrelevant. It is Pence's role in the process to open the ballot packages and present them to the legislature. If he has conflicting packages, say two from the same state, he can conceivably pick which one to open.
Alternatively he could play dumb and not open them.
In the first case, Congress can try to vote to throw out the votes he picks. Further changing the outcome.
In the latter case, the electoral vote is incomplete. Essentially running out the clock. As I understand, this would push us towards house delegations voting in place of the electoral college.

If the Supreme Court runs with this tomorrow, would this count as contesting the electors in all four states? I think that would mean that either the states agree to the terms (legislature picks electors) or they get thrown out since there is an open legal challenge
