This should still be the case. Senators are supposed to represent their State, not the people.

From google maps, it looks like the intersection of Quinnipiac St and Rte 5 (N Colony Rd).

This is how it always worked for me in MA, and so far every time in SC as well. Poll worker should never touch your ballot once it's given to you.

Most ranges (at least around me) have rentals available, so you should at least be able to practice with something similar. Or find one you like as a rental and buy one of the same.

I'd love to see a true flat tax. No deductions, no exemptions. Stop all the social engineering crap.

Every person with income files as a individual. Simple form - how much income did you have? Pay 10% (or whatever %). Done.

New England currently has more forest than it did when the Pilgrims arrived. The natives used slash and burn agriculture in many areas.

Huh? Howie writes for the Boston Herald, not the Globe.

Tell them to compare the numbers for South and North Dakota. Nearly identical demographics and population. ND did shutdowns, SD did not. Nearly identical cases and deaths.

Agreed. Marriage should be strictly a religious rite, with no civil legal weight. Do away with the 'power vested in me by the state' for clergy.

For all the legal issues (taxes, medical, etc.) people can register a domestic partnership at city hall, unrelated to the religious ceremony, and call it something other than marriage.

New York is looking into splitting, but without becoming separate states. More like setting up a state-level electoral college. I'd love to see more states do this, it would make a huge difference in local politics.

The compact may also need the assent of Congress. I'm not clear on when that is required, but it seems to depend on the reason for the compact.
