Laws like this, though, tend to have consequences that go beyond just what they are supposes to do. Frankly, id rather money go to heartless and aggressive companies than to corrupt, antagonistic government bureaucrats that skim money off the top and abuse their power.

It's a flag that goes back to the early days of the revolution. It really encapsulates the message of libertarians in a nice little meme.

Its not a trash can its a fasces, it was a symbol of authority during the Roman empire. Its a bundle of rods, with an axe. Its where the word fascist comes from.

So the comic is basically saying libertarians and fascists are allying against the the commies and the wealthy.

Liberty living people just want to be left alone. The rattle snake is warning you to leave it alone. If you leave it alone, it will leave you alone. If you insist on a fight though, it will be to the death.

That's logically the same as pointing to George Floyd and saying "See, cops are evil and should be disbanded!"

If I recall they hated each other from the get go. It's just Hitler didn't want a second front for his war, and Stalin really wasn't in a position to mobilize for war when they signed the treaty.

I might be misremembering though, that happens more than I'd like.

Yes, but in betraying the communist utopia that was Soviet Russia, he showed his true nature as a fascist. It's as simple a fact as 2+2=5.

No, no they wouldn't. Every good teacher I know tries to train their kids HOW to think, not WHAT to think.

I know its popular to crap on teachers right now, just know that the teaching profession is like any other profession. There are some great ones, most are just trying to get through the day and keep the job from consuming their lives, and there are sone that are attracted to the position of power, because they want to abuse it.

Thanks for sharing the article, it was an interesting little read.

In the Peoples Republic of California Comrade Davis removed the scourge pseudoephedrine from pharmacy shelves years ago. We are safe from meth now and are free to fully share breathing challenges with each other.

The glory of the PRC will soon be recognized by the rest of you capitalist swine.

Not being a photo shop expert myself, I wouldn't really know how to analyze the pic to ensure it's authenticity. I can only say if it's photoshopped its a bang up job. The man's knee looks right, shadows are where I'd expect, you can even see the upper part of the kids chest under the knee.

All I can really state is the fact that outlets are reporting that the kids dad and grandmother are pissed, and the police are looking at charging the dude with child endangerment.

I wasnt there, nor do I know anyone who was, but with the heap of trouble coming down on this guys head, if it was fake I'd imagine he'd be saying as much. In fact the MSM could use it as more evidence of whites targeting blacks.

Yes, a man really did kneel on a baby's neck and posted the photo online as a statement of support for BLM

I know civics better than most around me, including my parents. I graduated in the early 2000's took an honors civics class, and took civics again in college. I should have known better, but I didn't.

I'm a teacher, not civics though! There's a lot of reasons its hard to teach well, but the more experience I get, the more I think that public schools simply lack proper incentives to really make sure their kids are learning in classes that aren't core classes, like civics.

Private schools and charter schools do have that incentive though. School choice would be such a big move in the right direction.

Anyways, cheers!

The point stands that Portland would be able to pick who they want, so the lib senator doesn't necessarily reflect the whole of Oregon.

You are right, I thought I understood something I didn't. I also shared what I was mistaken about in a condescending tone. In doing so I was corrected and learned something. Thank you for correcting me.

You do know that senators are chosen by popular vote from their district right? Portland would dominate this too. Just like Jamal Harris represents LA and Pelosi represents San Francisco. Gov. Newsom represents LA and San Fran too.

That stood out to me too.

He's talking about Andy Ngo, he's been targeted by antifa for a while. Considering how well known he is to them, and how close he gets to them it is surprising they haven't done worse than bloodied him up a few times.

Wait till they get started!

That might get him actually impeached. It really sounds like a number of Republicans are looking for a reason to break ranks and help get rid of GEOTUS.

Not saying it would be justified, just that its a better pretext than muh Russia.

Yeah, after I realized the husband was there, I was wondering where he was. Still, being a white man, he's at a huge social disadvantage if things got physical with the black women.

It makes logical sense, the system is set up to attract freeloaders who don't want to be held accountable. So its not surprising that those are the people who by and large show up.

I was in an accident involving an illegal, took me and my wife 6 months to recover from the physical trauma, fortunately I had the uninsured motorist rider on my insurance. They often run from such accidents, and disappear because they are undocumented anyways.

Its that way for hispanic culture too. Socially they abhor almost everything the D's stand for, they just get those sweet checks on and they buy into the idea that Republicans = white racists. Some will straight up slam the door in your face in the middle of a conversation if they find out you are Republican.

No, see there is a different playbook if the person in question is backing the people that are actively trying to destroy the country, support child trafficking and otherwise seek to make us a subsidiary of China. Besides, we are just holding them to their own standards.

Leave my people alone!

I really think they are that disconnected from reality that they think they can make even a small difference. Most people have experienced pushing a car when its in neutral, I think they are just associating that experience with the very different experience of pushing a car that is running.

They don't think things through, they are just reacting, thats the only way you jump on the hood of an SUV and claim you are the victim.
