Strange that the vaccine push doesnt exclude people that had covid and got well. We have immunity now naturally. Just the fact that the people getting the shot still must wear a mask and socially separate, can still get the virus and pass it on, tells me the shot isnt a vaccine
I was going to apply at UAL back in the early 90s too. At the time they charged a $75 fee to apply. I called the Chief Pilots office and asked and the secretary there was honest enough and told me if I was a white male, save my money.
i blame Boeing and Airbus building jets that a moron can fly as long as nothing goes wrong. I blame the woman dominated HR departments that dont understand the huge amount of hard work and commitment it takes to be a pilot. Now Boeing is working on a single pilot 797. What will happen is the FAA will approve Drone transports because the diversity hires managed to crash enough aircraft and that will take the humans out of the cockpit entirely
United tried this about 35-40 years ago. They hired anything on 2 legs as long as it wasnt a white male. After a lot of captains retired, United found out the people they had hired were not capable of being captains. That turned them around to hiring qualified pilots again for a few decades.

Holy shit. I was a major airline captain and retired early because of the hiring of any minority that walked in the door. I had FOs that were so weak I couldn’t drink water because I didn’t dare leave the cockpit to pee. I blame Boeing for telling management that any 200 hour can fly these jets and HR for not respecting how hard being a pilot really is.
