Trump lost. Not with us, but with average people who truly don't pay attention. Trump missed so many opportunities to counter and when he did he was inconsistent with what he was saying and the point he was trying to make only to tangent away from what he should have been saying. Biden had an extremely low bar, and he cleared it. Don't get me wrong, he's a fucking lying scumbag pedophile, 100%, but he lied directly to the camera in a calm, albeit stuttered senile sort of way. He lied all the way through, blatant, immediately disproved lies, but Trump only countered like one of them maybe? Trump had too many missed opportunities, and for people who don't like Trump because of who he is, rather than what he has accomplished, he didn't win any of those people over. I didn't vote for Trump last election, I voted libertarian, and I plan on voting for Trump this time but I don't think anyone is walking away from this debate seeing Trump as likable and unfortunately those are the people that Trump needed to reach.
I hope I'm wrong, I'm all in on Trump, but I don't feel it went good.
I think Biden will cancel the next debates due to how bombastic Trump was. He'll use it as his excuse.
I was watching my local city council last night arguing about meeting at city hall in person for meetings while two of the councilors were condemning the other councilors for not wearing their masks while distanced by about 15 feet and behind plexiglass and it hit me, maybe it's been said before I dunno, but masks are physical virtue signals. Wearing the mask allows you to be morally righteous condemning those without, as the woke cult declares it. Before Covid the virtue signals were internal, you had to hear someone speak it, now we know right away. I'm not saying no masks anywhere, but if you are distanced by 15 feet, behind plexiglass, and still wearing your mask for "personal safety" then you are virtue signaling to the woke cult, there is simply no other reason.
