My state doesn't have a teacher's union. I have been thrilled with my child's education until this year. I am not happy with what is happening this year, but the teachers have no control over school closings. The school board is deciding, not teachers.
I agree. My children have had many amazing teachers.
They still have home ec. at some schools. My daughter had home ec. a few years ago and it was one of the most useful classes she has ever taken. I was very pleased to see it was still offered.
