Leftists are embedded into every layer of the society (academia, media, etc.) and in the tech scene, they are both VERY vocal and hold considerable power. Silicon Valley for example is very one-sided. Anyone who opposes dares not to speak out for the risk of losing their job, sabotaging their career, etc. It was not this bad a decade ago but post-2016 has basically only amplified.

With AWS I'd go even further to hide your identity with a shell/offshore company because at this point it I wouldn't put it past friendly employees of the host to doxx the site owner.

P. S. Thank you for this site, been around since the meme war of 2016.

Not difficult for a small site. However, eventually we may have to be looking at the whole stack, e.g. your network provider can choose to not route the packets.

This is great advice. It is easier to work this way "under the radar" and build something with a critical mass. Without reddit-style moderation that only highlights leftist viewpoints, communities and comment sections tend to trend right anyway.

youtube-dl, my friend (open source tool you use on the command line, downloads almost any video.) Also ffmpeg to convert things on the command line, another open source tool. You can split, join, add subtitles, resize, re-encode, basically anything.

I had to face the reality in the last few years and ended up cutting off so many "friends." After all, it turned out that most of the relationships were very superficial, and being able to shoot the shit about random daily stuff does not translate into the ability to have serious conversations. Everyone I've enjoyed many days with for years was in full attack mode right after I chose not to vote for "Her," and it never ended.

Family, significant other, a couple of close friends, that's about it.

Btw this is for posts only, in comments can only do links. (Just like original Reddit)

Just upload to magaimg.net first. Then post the URL in the link mode. It'll automatically grab the image from there.

Translations/explanation:

(1) A dream, now impossible, of police and protesters taking off their masks together and everyone rejoicing and laughing.

(2) "Welcome our released heroes!"

(3) Pepe and the pig are ongoing mascots of the protesters. The girl represents the medic who lost her eye after being shot by the police with a beanbag round.

(4) RIP

(5) "We finally won!"

(6) "Promise me, we're in this together!"

Solid advice. For that matter don't use the same password on any two websites, even if it's like your BANK and another bank. Sites get hacked all the time and passwords don't get stored properly. Use a password manager that generates a random password (like Oa!EU2JJe#H3eOEI) for each site or type out gibberish yourself and save it somewhere.

At least one story already of a big bank closing account based on what seems like political beliefs.
