An impenetrable fortress all the way along the border, and then the French army were supposed to be stationed inside Belgium since that was the only way around it. Belgium were to fortify their border with the help of the French army and the two would take on Germany together.
But the king of Belgium threw a tantrum and decided to lock the French out and immediately got conquered by Germany, which meant the French forces had to fight the Nazis on an unexpected front without the help they were previously promised.
If Belgium had held-up their end of the deal then there would have been far more available infantry to defend the Ardennes. And let's face it, it was a total miracle all those tanks got through that forest as it was.
So what I'm ultimately saying is, the bloody Maginot Line was a better idea than these facemasks.

Never understood why so many people loved this movie. It had a good anti-tyrant, pro-people message, but the movie itself is cucked. The scene with Stephen Fry reading the "beautiful" quran in his basement was cringy. The first time I watched a film and realised I was watching propaganda.
Similar feelings. Just last night I watched Black Klansman with my girlfriend, and it was okay. In fact, for a lot of the film I got a sense that it was just as scathing toward the black power crowd as the white power crowd.
Then at the end they played clips from Charlottesville and, sure enough, played the clip of Trump saying "fine people". I was fucking pissed, and my girlfriend cracked the shits because even after I delivered a bunch of evidence that Trump never said that and isn't racist, her only argument was "well I disagree", then she stormed off to bed.
I counted at least 14. Someone up above also posted the female officer's body cam, and when it shows them flipping him over to cuff him there are a lot of exit wounds in the back of his head.

Wow. Compare this with a video from a few weeks back of a cop who actually took a bullet in a home raid and still took the guy out himself.
I'm not saying I'd be in any better state than her in that situation, but she's also supposed to be trained to deal with it.

I feel sick now, not just because of the terrible image, but because it's so possibly true.
I'm gradually getting off it. The only one I frequent nowadays (other than this place) is YouTube, and that feels different somehow. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram et al. seems so narcissistically toxic, and of course YouTube is too but I feel like it's easier to filter out the wankers I don't care about.
