If someone's thinking irrationally it's hard to make them stop. Accuse your enemy of what you're guilty of doing. If one person thinks Trump is a Russian shill and another thinks Biden is a Chinese shill, even though one of those statements (Biden) is correct and the other is not, the media has muddied people's brains too much and you'll make no headway.
If you have very basic irrefutable points, 1+1=2, many people can break out of the cycle of bullshit, or atleast you can start a conversation and put them on the defensive.
