Member all those charities PedoJoe started?

In the past couple of years, Biden has created a network of organizations across the country that employ his former political aides — a savvy move, some said, for a politician preparing for a potential presidential run, according to the New York Times. They include American Possibilities (a political action committee), the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children, the Biden Cancer Initiative, Biden Foundation, Biden Institute, and the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.… Notable donors to American Possibilities PAC, according to Federal Election Commission filings, include Timothy Gill, a Colorado software entrepreneur and gay-rights activist; Hollywood producers Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg; Joe Kiani, CEO of healthcare technology company Masimo Corp. and chairman of Masimo Foundation; and Larry Rasky, chairman and CEO of public relations firm Rasky Partners, who also served as Biden’s press secretary for his presidential bid in 1988 and communications director for “Biden for President” during the 2008 presidential race. Biden dropped out of the 2008 race after winning less than 1 percent of the vote during the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucus.

The Biden Foundation raked in $3.2 million in 2017, according to the nonprofit’s latest tax return. Over a longer period, the foundation received at least $1 million each from its top three donors, which are disclosed on the organization’s website: Gill and his husband, Scott Miller; the Masimo Foundation; and the Bohemian Foundation, a community oriented nonprofit based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Might as well, it's tax free money the executives can donate to their family foundations.

Great documentary called Darwin's Nightmare about Lake Victoria in Tanzania. It's like the native people wouldn't know how to feed themselves if the foreign factory owners didn't make them fish all day. Unfortunately, the factory takes all the good parts of the fish and leaves the workers only the fish heads. It seems no one has figured out that they could catch the fish on their own, eat what they needed, and sell the rest.

Is there a remote control (other than an app) for the RPi?

What do you think about the Vero?

I've been running Kodi on an old Mi Box and it's past it's prime.

From 2017, so I don't know in whose hands the Beatles catalog is in now:

This week, Paul McCartney filed a lawsuit in a New York court against publisher Sony/ATV in an effort to regain his ownership stake in the Beatles publishing catalog in what could become one of the biggest legal struggles in recent music history. If successful, it would end a long and painful battle for McCartney over the ownership of his own songs, one that has involved everyone from early Beatles manager Brian Epstein to Michael Jackson, who bought the Beatles catalog in 1985 as part of a $47.5 million deal for ATV, a situation that has long been painful for McCartney.

Even the departments get in on the action. I worked with a housing administrator that used fire alarms and resident advisors to fine the students tens of thousands of dollars a semester.

He funneled the money to a minority student association and built himself a literal gold plated office. He would have gotten away with it too, but he had three sexual harassment claims filed against him. A week later, he was delivering pizzas to the same dorms he had terrorized before.

Great book, The Big Fat Surprise, details how statin manufacturers engineered studies and kept changing the parameters for what was considered high cholesterol so more people would be prescribed their new drugs.

Wait till you read about the statin shuffle!

I've met several widowers who's wives died of diabetes. Three of them in different cities had doctors from India and all said their doctors just kept prescribing them higher doses of insulin and never spoke to them about nutrition.

There's no money is getting someone off a drug for life. Prescribe a drug for life and that'll make your boat payments.

Don't forget the Associated Press Stylebook. Articles that conform to the standards laid out in the Stylebook have a better chance of getting picked up and sold by AP.

She's leaving money on the table if there isn't a gofundme to go along with it. Lotta suckers out there that would eat this up.

You try like hell for renewal. You have the same chance as anyone else . . . carousel.

Life clocks are a lie! Carousel is a lie!. There is no renewal!

Don't forget the gift cards!

De Blasio giving freed NYC inmates MetroCards and gift cards

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s latest soft-on-crime initiative has workers stationed on Rikers Island presenting newly released jailbirds with free transit passes and two $25 debit cards each, The Post has learned.

Plans even call for the addition of prepaid, “burner”-style cellphones and drawstring bags for the ex-inmates to carry their swag, a source familiar with the program said.
