The tribute was created with paint that cannot be painted over, so the city will have to repave that section completely. On Wednesday, the City Council voted to invest $36,000 in an effort to keep the mural, but make it more unobtrusive, and shift its lettering away from the lane dividers it currently obscures.

I'm pretty sure the statement "most that's used in food comes from human hair" is false.

The cost difference between L-Cysteine from animal byproducts and that from human hair or coal tar is huge.

I'm sure they're lobbying for some kind of liability exemption and bailout.

Ford admits to pumping fake engine noises through Mustang speakers to make cars sound better

Ford has admitted that its Active Noise Control system, as found in the 2015 Ford Mustang, pumps fake engine sounds through the in-car speaker system to replicate the growl of the older models.

Thanks to the EcoBoost engine, the old roar of the four-cylinder engines of the past has been muted somewhat, but to compensate, Ford has revealed that it uses digital audio technology to give drivers a similar aural experience.

More info was posted here a couple of days ago:

The Karens have come for the minorities in Austin. Irony abounds

(https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/austin-car-clubs-gentrification/), one of The Weaver’s most vocal critics of the car clubs, the blond woman who worried about emergency responders being able to reach her, decided she’d had enough. She bounded downstairs and into the street in high heels, holding her iPhone to film the offending vehicles and threatening to call the police on another group of men standing beside an old-school Ford sedan who looked unamused. “You can’t tell me drugs aren’t being distributed over there,” she huffed. “The brazenness of it all just kills me!”

The Karens have come for the minorities in Austin. Irony abounds

Watching from her upper-floor apartment, one of The Weaver’s most vocal critics of the car clubs, the blond woman who worried about emergency responders being able to reach her, decided she’d had enough.

Obama administration placed children with human traffickers, report says

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) initiated the six-month investigation after several Guatemalan teens were found in a dilapidated trailer park near Marion, Ohio, where they were being held captive by traffickers and forced to work at a local egg farm. The boys were among more than 125,000 unaccompanied minors who have surged into the United States since 2011, fleeing violence and unrest in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Ask people questions and really listen to them when they answer. People love to talk about themselves. If you seem sincerely interested in their stories they'll quickly open up to you even more.

Pay attention to how people interact with each other especially in unique situations. Observe how the people involved react and try to play the interaction back in your mind.

Get as much experience as you can from the real world. Media is not real life, and the stories people tell are always biased in their favor.

I checked Snopes and you're wrong!

Their test scores are low because the tests are racist, you bigot!

Standardized Tests are a Form of Racial Profiling

I asked the teacher what would happen to a young man of color and English Learner with no high school diploma in a neoliberal city like New York with a shrinking middle class. “I don’t know,” he said. “It breaks my heart. And guess who is going to have to tell him that he won’t graduate? Me. The policy makers won’t tell him. The people who are in the classroom with these kids have to deliver the news. After they moved here, got to class, did the work and learned English … that they won’t graduate. And then they evaluate me based on my students’ test scores when my kids barely speak English … it is not fair. The system is designed for these kids to fail.”

Wow! I don't know what else to say.

Some of them will be slaves on egg farms.

thank the Metropolitan Police Department for their diligence with this investigation.

If standing around texting is what's considered diligence while a man lays dying in front of them then sure, great job.

He was still moving. That criminal's cell phone was more important to JoePedo's National Guard than rendering aid to a dying victim.
