If they're going to the frankly career-ending effort of covering up the death of a SC justice, they're not going to drop the charade 45 days before the election. They'd keep it under wraps until the Friday before, so there'd be no possible way for a replacement to be installed. That accomplishes firing up the base to vote without risking it all going to shit. Because now, if Mitch does his job, they're fucked. The Dem base might be angry, but they may also just think they've lost all reason to bother voting.

We bought a place in a tiny town of 400, about half an hour from a couple low-mid 5 digit cities. Instead of a terrible rumor mill, we found the most welcoming and helpful neighbors we'd ever imagined. Anytime something went wrong, they were there to help out without being asked. We ended up not staying because of the distance from our families, but I really regret not making that move permanent.

Yea, I'm not sure how this would go, or if Trump should even hit on it at the debate. People who are willing to look further than what the MSM feeds them will already know, and those who don't will just assume that Trump is turning into a Q-anon conspiracy theorist. It'll be laughed off by everyone like Pizzagate. If people are willing to look, sure, it destroys Biden's chances, but I'm not sure the people who look will outnumber the people who just think Trump's gone off the deep end.
