I also think much of Trump's rhetoric about tariffs is directed towards the masses for easy consumption. If he goes on TV and says "China is a Deep State puppet. If China has all of the factories, then the Deep State owns all of the factories. It would not be a good situation for the USA if there is a war and the factories are all in China.", a lot of people wouldn't know how to process that. But when it's framed as "protecting American jobs", then it's easy for the average person to get behind.
The Austrian analysis of tariffs is about economic efficiency and consumer goods costs. I think their conclusions about cause and effect are correct. But I don't think what's going on now is about economic efficiency, what's going on now is more about military strategy.

Rothbard was a cultural conservative and I think he would have realized this is a fight for civilization. The modern left are openly anti-free speech, anti- 2nd amendment, anti-family, anti-America, and pro-giant government (in every way possible). Trump also exposed (and is in the process of destroying imo) the State supported mainstream media, and he is also the leading hero against PC culture, and Rothbard would have definitely been appalled by 1984 PC culture.
Usually the libertarians are correct in being indifferent between the candidates (repubs vs democrats), but any of them who don't see that Trump is fighting THE Deepstate and fighting for American culture has their head in the sand.

Yup. The whole basement angle is a giant strawman. They tried to frame pizzagate as a theory that kids were being held specifically in the basement of Comet Ping Pong. That's it. That's the entirety of pizzagate. It has nothing to do with the Podesta emails and pedo code words. "See, Comet Ping Pong doesn't even have a basement!". If there's no basement (there is), then pizzagate is obviously fake!
Whether or not Comet Ping Pong has a basement is irrelevant to the larger picture, but they wanted everyone to focus on it and the "debunked" basement.
And as others have pointed out, the security cameras that faced Comet Ping Pong 24/7 were coincidentally pointed away the night before the shooting.
Watching it go down in real time was crazy. Everything was coming out on the chans and /r/pizzagate. Right as it's going down Obama gets on TV warns everyone about "fake news". Then came the huge influx of shills and massive censorship.
The widespread and coordinated censorship and watching everyone panic is how I realized it was real. I'll never forget it and watching it all get exposed will be GLORIOUS. It's been a long wait.
