The limit pushing has been going on since the beginning of the country. The virus and ineffective mandates get people justifiably bent out of shape, wish we could have that conviction for every infringement. But here we are, a constantly growing state and liberties still lost. Thankful it isn't as bad as it could be and hopeful for the future.
As usual, most people don't understand that it "takes 9 months to make a baby". You just can't will resources and processes out of thin air. Ventilators don't make themselves, tests don't make themselves. But governors like Cuomo think that you can just throw some money at the problem and have the federal government mandate it into existence. Will Cuomo be advocating for less red tape and regulations that inhibit the design and manufacturing world in the future? Maybe it will knock some sense into them to not be bankrupt and actually have the means to procure these things on their own instead. Insanity that they just expect resources out of thin air to assemble RIGHT NOW.
They deserve to be harshly criticized when unintended consequences of their status quo policies pop up in their back yards and screech when it doesn't fix itself. It's a common thread sadly and I can confidently say that an event like this won't change anything with them and they'll just double down on it.
I could see him doing something like it, along with a lot of those guys...they could be mouthy. The difference is Ted Wheeler is a bitch
