Yeah, because carpet bombing is how you protect a president.

Or maybe it’s SOP not to release the name of a secret service agent immediately after a shooting. It doesn’t matter anyway, it could have been any agent and they’re operating under the same training, rules, and command.

Can’t follow you into lies. I could tell you what lies down that path, and what the road to hell is paved with, but nobody listens to anybody else on the internet.

How would Trump be in charge of Texas secession?

So goddamn fucking stupid.

Ignatius of Antioch opened my brain decades ago. I don’t worry about the Catholic/Orthodox divide much. As a citizen of Texas, held variously by French, Spanish, Mexican, Texan and American nations, my legitimate patriarchy is obviously Rome.

This.

I feel bad for Trump, obviously let down by his team and the entire government which was supposed to be working for him...but I also feel it would be against his whole ethos not to allow him to be responsible and let the buck stop anywhere else.

It’s no dishonor to say that he couldn’t achieve total victory in his war against the entire world.

I substantially agree. While there are some rough edge to the Capitol narrative, the fix was definitely in and it turned out much differently than Trump wanted it to. And yes, that severely derailed whatever his strategy was and limited his options severely.

It’s just so weird that so many pedes here called it before the sixth, and said Antifa would be called out to screw things up, but nobody on team Trump seems to have had any idea about that.

So post your plan as a new thread so everyone can evaluate it. I’ll join in.

Right, canceling all my big deals with DeutscheBank.

Interesting, and I have opinions about Catholic/Orthodox reunification...but really not anywhere near the point.

It is because you think everyone is all good or all bad that you fail.

The sequence of events that eventually brought the National Guard to help the embattled Capitol Police will be the subject of intense official scrutiny.

Press F to doubt.

I follow Donald Trump. That’s what I have always said. I remain faithful to that.

Yesterday he said he might run in 2024 if he doesn’t endorse Pence.

Now, you tell me, how do I follow that without “dooming”?

1
Rudyard 1 point ago +1 / -0

The whole thread is about fear of infiltration.

What is your solution to the danger posed by infiltration, other than some vague “catch them” bullshit?

1
Rudyard 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, yesterday he tepidly endorsed Pence for 2024. So, I guess Trump is a doomer, now?

When your involvement in politics consists, not of observing it and trying to do what you can, but rather of making grandiose bets and predictions with long odds, you’re going to have a bad time.

And if you lie about what happened, then you’re lying which is wrong in itself and the left will just point out that you are a liar. That’s not the way forward.

And quit being as asshole accusing me, after I clearly stated my opinion on the matter. If you can’t have a discussion without accusing me of the opposite of what I clearly stated, go the fuck away.

Rudyard 2 points ago +2 / -0

How does 1 address the problem? By magic?

You really need to make a new post with this so people see it and can tear you a new asshole Over it. Go ahead.

The lawyers have all run away. That’s what lawyers do after they have lost. They have to find the next case and don’t what any more failure stuck to them.

The LARPs will go silent. They had their fun/got paid and later they’ll find a new racket to get attention.

Trump will keep trying to win, but he’s not actually a wizard and the circumstances are not favorable. If he can survive this “didn’t cross the Rubicon” scenario and stay out of jail, he might come roaring back. Who knows.

But it’s a real failure of this site and this movement to think every single thing is the outcome of a grandiose plan.

If a football team loses, do you accuse them of conning you? Was it all some nefarious plan to make you look stupid? Or did they just fucking lose?

1
Rudyard 1 point ago +2 / -1

Again, no actual strategy. Just gaslighting and calling people cowards.

If you have a good plan to make sure a Trump rally can’t be hijacked and turned against the man, post your plan and Let it be debated.

Or keep being an asshole.

Rudyard 2 points ago +2 / -0

I encourage you to think deeply about how that will go down. That is pretty much what was happening at the capitol windows, MAGA trying to snatch Antifa before any more damage was done. How’d it work out?

All I wanted to do was run a business and hunt and fish. I wasn’t asking for much, then they told me I was a racist, that I was the problem, and that I needed “re-education”. All because I voted for lower taxes and free speech.
