We won’t be directly involved in that war. China has bought lots of land and influence in Africa. We will, however, fight a proxy war against someone supported by Russia, who is a regional power projection antagonist to China. It’s going to be Syria or the Ukraine, or just back to the well in the Middle East.

When I encounter these people, it makes me think of one of my favorite literary characters- Sand dan Glokta, who said “An open mind is like to an open wound. Vulnerable to poison. Liable to fester. Apt to give its owner only pain.” So many have chosen to close their minds and ignore reason rather than face the concept of their moral superiority crumbling like the house of cards it is.
