Strange. I was thinking of something along the lines of an unfortunate zookeeping accident and maybe wild hyenas. (Melanie Benjamin is an author of "historical fiction" and looks just like her picture if you add 20 years and 75 pounds.)
We all know that oaths are worthless Mitch. Actions count and your actions cost you and the republicans everything. Josh Hawley will be ignoring you from the Oval Office while you're doing commentary on MSNBC opposite Rachel Madcow sooner that you think.
Most people view law enforcement through the same lens as they view themselves. They consider themselves reasonable, law abiding people who contribute to the community and respect their fellow man (even though they may think privately you're a scumbag) This view is not only unreliable, it's demonstrably false.
Some people will say your statement is hyperbole. It is not. I have been investigated by the FBI for being in the general area of a theft (I don't even know what was stolen) that occurred on federal controlled land (public recreation area). They came to my house and also talked to my high school to verify when I was and wasn't there. Like most law enforcement agencies they are always pressured to prosecute anyone they can make a case against, not necessarily who actually committed a crime. They made a trespassing charge but the judge threw it out. This was the early 70's. Things haven't changed.
Wonder how many ChiCom friendlies they end up with. I don't see much virtue in doing any government's bidding after taking an oath that ultimately relies on the power brokers interpretation at one moment and then something else at another. One could make the argument that this is exactly why the American military works so well but it does not bode well for those of us that see the Constitution as a finite document. I expect to see the military used against us for the convivence of the Biden coup in the future.
We don't have to take DC, we just have to take the country and you start by taking your state and you do that by taking your town. The dems took the reigns of power at the top. What if the reigns aren't connected to anything. Let's work on getting the wagon and the horses in the barn for a while. Get things in good working order, organize and prioritize, strengthen and plan. Lay a foundation to build on and let's put our house in order.
Noooo. That's Mike Meyers in a never released transgender remake of "Authur".
