There are many ways to fire people. In politics you can't always just fire someone, but you can make them irrelevant. That's what Trump did today by hosting the Press Beating in the Rose Garden. Fauci wasn't present (or if he was, I didn't see him), and Birx was sitting in the audience. It was a brilliant move to take the spotlight off the so-called experts who he wants out of the way and re-take control of the press conference.
