The army of Satan will have won.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” - Ephesians 6:12
"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33
Satan will inevitably score some victories here on Earth, but we know how the story finally ends. Stay strong. Live faithfully.
Recoverability depends on the wiping mechanism. If the traitors are smart, they'll have used one of a variety of wiping algorithms that make multiple passes over the storage device to overwrite it with all zeros, all ones, and/or random bits in such a way that the original data become pretty much unrecoverable.
Depending on the mechanism for wiping and the device being wiped, it may be difficult or impossible to fully reconstruct "wiped" data. Flash vs magnetic storage matters too, as does the particular type of drive controller (e.g., in an SSD). Emphasis on "fully reconstruct," though - even freeware tools can usually recover some partial fragments, which hopefully would still prove damning.
Ditto me in Meijer the other day, told them "My doctor told me not to wear one" and they just smiled sympathetically and let me through. And it was totally truthful: I asked my doctor about the mask orders and, no joke, he told me people shouldn't wear them in general because it could lead to hypoxia.
That's cute, you still think the "justice" system works
