Where I live there are people that just get a whole pig and chop it up to sell on the side of the street along with chicken and stuff. It probably grosses out a lot of folks from other countries, but that's how it's been here and we haven't been wiped out from mass food poisoning yet.
I've always thought that western food regulation is a little bit too strict and paranoid.

Alternatives are finding other places to shop in that aren't so strict or just rolling along with it for now and remembering this later by not giving them any business after you find better places to shop at.
