That would be incredibly destructive. That would jump prices on everything up to 15% and simultaneously discourage investments in expansions, large projects, new machinery, etc.

I want to point something out that I believe is very important. That report is in no way surprising, corporations do these cost reduction studies all the time, especially on healthcare.
BUT. If you read through that doc. It is very very clear that external pressure is influencing Walmart. They know what their reputation around labor is. They are seeking to change it, for whatever reasons.
The pressure has an effect. That's a good thing.
