Well, if the plan was for Pence to throw out the disputed electors (from states who unconstitutionally certified after changing voting laws without their legislatures) it would make sense. I think in reality there are a few good reasons for the rally.

1. Its a major show of force in the numbers we'll likely see.
2. To use the above to attempt to pressure those in congress to do the right thing.
3. To keep DC from falling into chaos after a controversial move.

He didnt ask but I sure hope people who made it to DC early are paying attention.

AFAIK not yet as this was just a vote by a committee. Its very good news though and puts in motion GA actually voting to decertify Biden electors. Its a win and it was bipartisan which is huge. GA legislature will have a hard time voting against decertification IMO. May be the first domino starting to sway.

Pence is the ultimate decider. If Pence throws out certain states unconstitutionally-run electors there wont be enough electoral votes to get to a majority and it will envoke the 12th amendment where each State gets one vote in the house and Trump will win. Congress merely votes on whether the objected to electors go to Pence. Im basing this off of what Leigh Dundas has said in her latest video about Pence's potential power to change this BS election.
