This is a good question. Very basically, what a blanket injection of money does is artificially fuel the economy for a short period of time.
If you imagine an island where you have fishermen and farmers in a good economic balance, in normal times you'd see cash and goods exchanged between the two groups in an ongoing and reciprocal fashion.
But then imagine what happens if the fisherman are suddenly forbidden from going out to sea. After a few months, the farmers then have all the fishermen's cash, so the fishermen can no longer buy any grain. And because on this island (our modern society), barter is forbidden, no commerce can take place.
By giving everyone on that island an injection of cash, you do devalue their currency, but it allows the fisherman to buy what they need in the short term. It would be a terrible ongoing policy however.
As far as our situation goes, we're in a bad spot because the left has purposefully tanked our economy. The stimulus checks are a stop-gap measure to get us through this period until the inevitable hangings.
Holy heck, people. You won't need a heater while sleeping in your car. I winter camp and have slept in cars/tents in freezing conditions many times.

Get a good 20F or 0F rated sleeping bag. 20F will be OK, but it may be chilly for some. 0F rated will definitely keep you warm in the predicted 36F night.
-
If you don't have the money for a sleeping bag, get all the thick blankets you own and make a cocoon in the backseat or wherever. Layers work. Wool and down are the best, but lots and lots of cotton blankets will work too, though you'll need a lot. If you have a winter jacket, wear it.
-
Use thick socks. Wool, not cotton. If you don't have thick socks, use layers.
-
Use a hat and scarf.
Our laboratory studies show that casts are 95% effective in protecting against leg breakage, therefore everyone should wear them. We haven't study muscle atrophy or interference with basic tasks and enjoyment of life, but we're pretty sure it's fine.
US hate crime laws cover crimes motivated by race, sexual orientation, and religion. While that may seem to apply "equally" across all groups, in practice, they only apply to certain "protected" categories.
For example if a white, Christian, heterosexual make were to be physically attacked, the crime would be considered simple assault.
However if a Middle-Eastern, Jewish lesbian were to be attack, you can bet the other party would be charged with a hate crime.
But to answer your question, in practice, it is legal to hate Christians but illegal to hate Jews or Muslims. And this is covered under hate crime legislation.
It's the big bullies giving the little bullies the power to push others around. This applies to little bully cops too...they're all too happy to be going on calls where they know the people aren't violent or vicious or trying to kill them (yet). It's like being a cop on easy mode.
But while the little bullies are infuriating, the problem ultimately stems from the bullies at the top.
Sorry about your divorce.
Yes! And you see this in all scientific papers that yield results that go against the current political dogma.
Every nicotine study that shows a beneficial effect pads the abstract and discussion with how terrible smoking is and how they would never suggest it's a good thing.
And there was that Navy study that showed the flu vaccines increased the risk of coronavirus...they had to publish a "clarification letter" stating how they didn't mean to show that vaccines make COVID worse, even though their results clearly show that they do.
I have a science background, and it's insane seeing researchers backpedal on their results like that.
Most people don't realize this, but politics runs science. Not the other way around. We really haven't progressed much at all from when the Church wanted to burn Galileo for suggesting that maybe, just maybe, the Earth went around the Sun.
Cop: I really don't want to do this...but I'm doing it anyway.
What a bunch of lies. If that lady didn't want to do it, she wouldn't do it. But the truth is, she wants her paycheck and she wants her career, and following orders means she'll get both. So in fact, she really does want to do it on the end because she really wants to keep her job. And that self-interest is overriding her concern for ethics and the well-being of others.
So...bad reaction to the pre-intubation sedation meds?
I guess without COVID, the malpractice wouldn't have happened, so yeah, totally COVID.
