The confusion was amazing. And incredibly revealing. The black bystanders saw her skin color & automatically assumed she was "on their side". But when she started yelling the truth, they got MAD that the POLICE weren't arresting her. A BLACK PERSON, WHAT.

The police were trying to arrest her the same way I tell my dog not to jump on the bed. I try to pretend like I'm a good parent but I actually support him being on the bed.

You never point a firearm at something you don't intend to destroy. Ever. Also, it's very difficult to hit a moving target, no matter how well trained you are, so you always aim for center mass. But the bigger issue is that US is a litigious society, shooting someone in the kneecap or foot (?) is going to 'permanently disable' them, even if they heal just fine, they'll sue the city, get you fired, and suck off the taxpayers the rest of their lives. And not even go to jail!

She did exactly the right thing. This guy knew what he was doing, he could have killed others driving in that state, including his exploited kid. Funny how quickly a lawyer jumped on this. The news just breaks & a 14 year old girl somehow managed to think of suing AND found a lawyer? Please.

Catholic Churches attacked across the United States

This is the beginning of a span of attacks. Started by the white guy who thinks he's black (and convinced others he's black) when he used his platform to tell people to attack churches & statues of Jesus. Everyone knows that Catholic churches are the only faith who has a crucifix, so here you go. Disgusting. And not a word from the media. No outrage or concern.

Is that Chris Cuomo under the "we say no to racism" sign?

The difference is, and it's so tiny, so petty and miniscule I'm almost embarrassed to mention it.......

ISIS uses vehicles to run into law abiding people who are walking on a pedestrian sidewalk or in an area blocked off, well lit with signage for a street fair. Bad.

The Left sends its operatives out onto the freeway. After dark. With no lighting, signage, reflective vests and wearing all dark clothes. Then they tell them to block the freeway by parking their own vehicles across the lanes - but don't turn the lights on! Then they wait, the trap is set. Soon enough, along comes a guy driving his fast car on the empty freeway, probably thinking "holy sh¡t, this is awesome, I've got this jag, no traffic, let's see how fast she can go. The next thing he knows is there are three cars parked across the laces of the freeway

Confused, he makes a defensive maneuver, avoids the cars but what's this, a crowd? On the side of the the damn freeway?! So another defensive maneuver to avoid the crown and...... a few of them decide to run into the road **into the path of car traveling at high speed.

The media, ready to leap, fingers at the ready when......... aw MAN! He's black? And he killed one of those white chick's with the pink hair. Feeeeeecccckkk!

This is crap. Who walks up to riot police, gets in their faces and runs a thing that looks like a cell phone but is clearly being run very methodically over at least 2 officers in very specific places. Was he trying to interfere with their communications? He has a LONG history of "peacemaker" activities like boarding (illegally) a nuclear submarine. He's a communist instigator.

It's too convenient how there were cameras, a NEWS camera even, so conveniently placed to show all views of Jack Skellington walking up to them aggressively, being ordered at least 3 times to stay back & move out, but continuing to move forward purposefully, then holding a device out over their electronics. He's a professional communist antagonizer, no different than Bill Ayers. The blood looked like a gunshot would to the head - no one would survive that injury but a few hours later he's awake, lucid and "asking for privacy". Please.

Sounds like a preschooler having a tantrum and breaking their favorite toy then blaming someone else for "making them do it".

To which I respond "well, well, well. If it isn't the consequences of your own actions"

Booker isn't the only black man to say this. Allan West says something very similar and expands on it with some extremely illuminating reasons why blacks and muslims are so violent in a book called The Forbidden Human Act.

Breonna Taylor was her name. She was an EMT. Her house was targeted because a know major drug dealer Jamarcus Glover, allegedly had been using her address to receive packages at her home.

She had no record, no criminal history, no relationship drama, nothing. She had a boyfriend who also lived there but his name was not listed on the warrant, which makes no sense. The police claim they announced themselves, yet had a no-knock warrant.

They had also already arrested this Jamarcus Glover a few hours before, but still busted down her door while she and her boyfriend were sleeping. He shot the intruder in the leg and the response was to spray the apartment with bullets. She died. They executed the warrant and found no drugs, money, packages or proof of anything they claimed. They arrested the boyfriend for shooting them. She and her boyfriend had no drugs in their systems.

This is racism. This IS wrong. It's wrong! They murdered her!

Yet the media and the protestors want to canonize a 47 year old ex-con who had done time MANY times for armed robbery, beating a pregnant woman, several cocaine charges, and allegedly, though he had "cleaned up his life" was using drugs and may or may not have been counterfeiting money. He did not deserve to die the way he did or for that minor of a crime, that's absolutely true. But he wasn't targeted because of his race, he was caught committing a crime with a well documented violent criminal history. The defend a street thug, oh excuse me - "jogger" with a felony record for repeatedly stealing from homes in a neighborhood that wasn't his own & getting himself killed pulling a loaded rifle from another man's hands. Saying he was hunted implies he was prey. Prey doesn't run towards you & attack you. Unless it has rabies I guess. They claimed he was in med school, then nursing school, then in nursing assistant training - but he was working for the hospital in housekeeping & mentioned maybe someday taking a 9 week STNA course. Oh he was also going to be an electrician and a boxer (who jogs in timberlands).

Why though? Freddy Gray drug dealer, Michael Brown street thug. They idolize them and use them as excuses to burn down their cities and further divide people.

But not Breonna? An actual victim of violence & corruption? I don't get it.

Dead eyed little turd.

The main reason for all of this nonsense isn't that "some" people have "more privilege" than others. It's because AMERICANS are more privileged than others. These "protesters" are protesting criminals who die getting arrested. They don't care that the stats show that Caucasian criminals die at the hands of the police at almost TWICE the number each year. Because that fact doesn't give them an excuse for having every right and law - and in fact EXTRA rights, in place to help them get ahead - but continuing to fail. Because they're continuing to make bad choices and those who do make good choices are ostracized by their own communities for "actin white". Because apparently "actin white" means:

  1. Graduate high school
  2. Get a job
  3. Don't have children out of wedlock

Three simple steps that have been proven to prevent poverty.

However in this country, even those who claim they are oppressed are far more privileged than any African, South American, many Asian & Middle Eastern countries. Even several eastern European countries. Nothing is stopping any one from achieving what they desire. For some it will be more difficult. That's life! There have been poor people since the civilization began!

What's my proof? If black people are oppressed by whites, there is no way we would have had a black president, several black senators, congress, cabinet members, surgeons, lawyers, teachers professors, business owners, millionaires. Because oppression PREVENTS that.

In the short of it: don't tell me you're oppressed when drug dealers, armed thugs, murders, rapists, robbers, of ALL colors, races, ethnicities, genders, etc are killed by police or end up in prison. Stop being so FRICKIN blind! We are ALL being oppressed by dirty politicians who've infiltrated our government, committing treason, perjury, theft, murder, child abuse, tax evasion, fraud, wiretapping & more and not only don't go to prison, they don't even get into trouble!

Yet you blind stupid assholes are out there protesting against your neighbors, ruining their homes, businesses, reputations, lives because the very people, those who MAKE the laws and ACTUALLY have the ability & obligation to change them are actually oppressing you have proven you are gullible and stupid. They've spent the past FOUR YEARS having a temper tantrum because, after paying off a ton of people to ensure their crooked crotch won, someone committed political espionage and they can't say anything! They've been getting paid salaries up to $300,000 a year and haven't done a.single.thing.

But it's wypipol sitting at some crap desk job 40 hours a week making $50k who are oppressing you? Please.

There's definitely racism in this country. But I don't think racism means what you think it means. Enjoy your Gucci sneakers while you ride the bus an hour and a half to get groceries because you looted & burned your own neighborhoods.

Tldr; I don't care, I had a bad day and a lot to say. Read it or don't but you know it's true.

She's so full of garbage. She was never tested but didn't want to be left out, so the high school drop out just went ahead & diagnosed herself and the sperm donor that follows her around everywhere.

I understand that everyone wants to work, needs to work. I work for a non-profit so my paychecks are limited as people do not give to non-profits when they aren't getting paid. I get it - I'm in the same situation, bracing myself for the call from my boss telling me that I am laid off.

However - reopening everything without knowing what's going on yet and against all medical advice regardless of political or economic beliefs - makes me very uncomfortable. Scared. I'm not ready to die yet.

However, I had a kidney transplant 18 months ago. Everything has been going well, no problems at all. I work full time, raise a family, travel, volunteer - I'm living life just like you all are. Except I am permanently immunosuppressed. If everyone just jumps back in like normal, this virus - for which we have no cure - is going to spread. Fast. People will die. Lots of them. Including me. There is no "safe" age, gender, race, social status, economic status, education level or health background because this has literally sickened & killed children to the elderly. Yes a lot had underlying issues. But it makes sense they would die first. That's what happens every flu season.

However, what doesn't happen is young healthy people, middle aged healthy people, children, people with minor health issues dying in these numbers. The country of Italy - a first world country - is almost decimated. Spain is in its heels. No one is "safe" because we have no cure and no idea how to kill it beyond washing our hands.

You wouldn't know by looking at me that I'm one of the vulnerable. I look healthy. I actually haven't gotten even a cold the entire time - until 10 days ago when I was diagnosed with Influenza A after feeling like I was suddenly hit by a train.

And I know you guys group 'the sick' into a faceless blob of old, useless people who's lives don't matter. I'm not old. I'm not useless. I'd like to think I matter, at least to some people. I pay taxes I contribute to society. I can't help that I was born with a genetic disorder that ruined my kidneys. I don't smoke/drink and never have. I'm not overweight. I've never used drugs.

I guess what I'm saying is - please remember there are real people behind that faceless blob. And this is dangerous. I'm not one who easily falls for hyperbole and drama at all - I'm actually probably an under-reactor. But I understand the science behind epidemiology, viral loads, disease transmission and the difficulty in treating viral infections. Viruses mutate, they're unpredictable, they're very difficult to treat, they spread quickly and they are shedding before anyone even feels sick. The R0 factor is very high with this. We don't even know if it comes back or if you can be reinfected after getting. We don't know anything. We're all at risk and while some may just get the worst case of the flu they can remember and live, many will die.

I believe it was partially intentional but got out of hand quickly. China is NOT getting better, and if you've seen how people die from this - it's horrific.

Just think about this a little. I know our president wants the best for everyone and he is in a VERY tough situation. But we need to listen to actual science. This isn't like the climate change garbage - this science is peer reviewed and regular health care workers are killing themselves trying to take care of everyone.

Tldr: please be patient and think outside of the box to help come up with a solution that doesn't mean people have to die so someone else gets a paycheck.

This is a serious question:

When you invest in gold, do you physically HAVE the gold? Like in coins or something? Or do you just have a promise that someone else has your gold for you?

If it came down to it, how would you spend gold? I can't pay my mortgage with a gold coin - nothing is set up to receive payments like that. Or is the thought that if we were desperate enough to be using gold as currency, then no one will care about your mortgage payment anyway? I'm just imagining cowboys riding around with gold nuggets and wondering how that would translate into modern life.

What these @ssholes don't understand is that even in countries where they have "free" universities, the students are also drowning in student loan debt. Why?

Only the tuition is free. Books, lab fees, course materials fees, room & board are not free. And because it's much more expensive to live there, it all costs a lot more, more actually than it does for us here in the US.

Then remember that being exceptional is highly discouraged, because then lesser students will feel bad that they too aren't exceptional. So no scholarships or grants.

Finally, "free" university education also means, you guessed it, rationed university education. The government decides for you at around age 14 if you are university material.

If you are, then you attend a college prep course to finish high school which typically ends at 16. It's essentially the first two years of our bachelor degree (all the non degree academic crap we have to take again after just doing it in high school - math, English, history, social studies, etc). Then when they enter university, it's usually 2-3 years and they finish. And it has to be something useful like engineering, medicine, university level teaching, social work - something that directly translates to employment.

However, if you are not deemed university material, you are sent to a vocational high school to learn a trade - teaching, plumbing/HVAC, accounting, etc. If you want to go to university, 100% of everything is on you. Lots of people leave & study abroad because it's still difficult to get in if you didn't 'government qualify'.

So sure, I'd be ok with tuition free universities here. But only for useful degrees and only for those with a high probability of finishing and going straight to work.

I'd be 100% behind more adult education programs at prices people could pay by working & studying at the same time - and definitely apprenticeships so they work in the field they are studying. College isn't for everyone and everyone doesn't need to go. If you can't see this is the perfect way for the government to own you for your entire adult life, you're being willfully ignorant.

  • they tell you if you don't go to college, you can't get a job & will amount to nothing
  • no useless degree unless you pay for it yourself & the loans are non-dischargeable in bankruptcy like now. So no Lesbian Dance Theory, Gender or (insert race) studies, nothing that does not directly translate into immediate employment.
  • they make it very easy & acceptable to take out far more debt than you need to pay for school and students look at it like it's something they are entitled to. They are not! Like another poster said, if you can't afford Columbia, go to Oklahoma State. If you can't afford that, go to Brownsville Community College and work/save for the school you want to attend. Or reconsider if you wouldn't be better served with certification in a trade - you'll make great money & never want for work.

I see so many students taking out a ton of money to pay for Instagram worthy apartments, vacations, spring break, nails, hair, clothes - basically all of their living expenses. And then they want the government to just 'forgive' the $50,000 they racked up in debt for that Fashion Design, LGBT Studies or Ancient French degree. NO! Pay it back! It's YOUR debt!

When I was in college 20 years ago, they were rigid about the money - you never saw it. You signed the loan note which was exactly the amount of the tuition, room & board (only if you lived in the dorms) with maybe some left for books, but not enough. You had to earn money to buy your books (no debt though). The money never hit your bank account, it went straight from the bank to pay your fees for that semester. If you dropped out within a certain period, they just reversed everything & you owed nothing from that note. You signed a new note every semester. The longer you waited until you dropped a class, the less you got reversed, so you were very motivated to suck it up - you were paying for it no matter what.

I personally earned a lot of academic scholarships, some need based grants, work/study (on campus employment) and worked my ass off during all breaks & a couple of evenings a week after class. It was hard but not impossible. My roommate worked too - she actually charged the whole thing to a credit card, then worked 3 hours every afternoon after class, and all breaks to pay it off before the next semester. She's an accountant now (CPA). We both graduated with zero student loan (or any) debt and received zero from family.

So it's a big HELL NO from be regarding forgiving student loans, though I'd be open to the programs where if you get a needed degree and work X amount of years in an underserved part of the United States, partial or full loan forgiveness. Anything in medicine, addiction/mental health clinical degrees, elder care, teaching (though that's another can 'o worms).
