I sincerely doubt your example involved strangers, I'd bet that they knew each other and intended to commit a crime. So, people who didn't know each other and did not intend to commit a crime can't be held accountable for something someone else did do.

Faulty reasoning. Nobody broke in. They were let in by police. Its intellectually dishonest to claim it was a break-in when in fact the police walked them into the building. And that is exactly what happened, there's plenty of video to prove that. They were ushered into the building.
You also left out one important element: the intent to commit the underlying felony, aka, predicate felony. There was NONE. Therefore, your argument is invalid as the elements are not satisfied.

Based on what? The people were there to protest peacefully. There were no riots, no burning and looting, and little if any damage to property. Any attempt to frame the protest as a riot is intellectually dishonest and reaching.
