When only landowning men voted, their votes represented their entire families. These people had a stake in the future of the country and would vote what is best for their family.
There was an assumption that virtually everyone would get married and raise a family, and at the time most people grew their own food, so giving votes to landowning men would give a vote to each family.
Giving votes to non-landowners in 1828 started to violate this. Now you have people who don't really contribute to society voting. The opinions of people who don't really want to settle down and raise families start to get counted.
Giving votes to women sealed the coffin for votes not representing families anymore. Now you have wives and husbands voting against each other. You have single people having more voting power than family units. People who don't care about what happens after they die because they don't have descendants can now force their policies down the throats of the people who actually have a stake in the future of the country.
It only goes downhill from there. Womens suffrage was a mistake. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't have given equal protections and rights to women, but it was another step towards ensuring the destruction of the country.
