NC just passed a voter ID law. It was tangled up in typical democrat legal obstructionism, conveniently timed for the 2020 election, but has since been upheld. 2022 elections should be interesting here.
Parts of Wake County are awful (Durham) but some of the small towns like Rolesville are great.

NC bleeds red. I love it here. They tried to cheat here but couldn't manufacture enough votes to erase Trump's lead on election night.
Our Governor and AG are crooks. Somehow Cooper won more votes (2.8 million) than Trump (2.7 million). We also elected Republicans to both houses of the General Assembly, reelected Thom Tillis to the Senate and even elected a Republican Lt. Governor. Cooper is a dirty cheat.

I've been watching the Tillis race and he has enough momentum I think he's got it. Salty we're gonna be stuck with our little Tyrant governor Cooper, though.
My polling place (NC) just asked my name, with the book lying flat out in front of me, names all easily visible. I could have claimed to be any one of the people on that list. National voter ID may be the single most pressing issue of our time.
There's a huge Coyotes mural (by which I mean graffiti that the Mexican authorities are either too lazy or too scared to clean up) right off the main highway into Tijuana, just south of San Diego. Impossible not to know who and what they are if you've ever bothered to cross the border yourself.
