It’s just not possible to change your sex with current technology. Even though hormones and surgery can allow you to more closely resemble the opposite sex, you still are what you are.

Well said. I do think it is really harmful to act like black people are helpless victims of white people. There are plenty of examples of black people being successful in America, even going back to times where there clearly was a lot of racism, so I think it's pretty condescending when these people talk about how it is up to white people to "do something" so that finally black people will be equal.
I am also a physician and had a similar progression. Yes, at first we didn’t know the true fatality rate (since China’s data cannot be trusted) and it was very reasonable to be concerned. However, we now know enough to know it thankfully is not as deadly as it could have been. We also see there are real harms that come with keeping the country shut down.

Yes, I too was involved in a local news story enough to know the truth about what happened, and the media portrayal of it was NOT the whole story. I bet a lot of people who have had personal experience with news media can say the same.
My view is that, yes, Trump says things that are very harsh by my standards, but I can't imagine anyone standing up to the relentless vicious attacks he has faced if they were not a fierce fighter.
