Because of Covid - my mother ordered a few books of stamps last week. She lives in Southeast Tennessee. She was given a tracking number, and has been patiently waiting for the stamps she ordered on Monday.
On Wednesday, the stamps were in California. On Wednesday evening, they were in Kansas City. Thursday they went from Kansas City to Miami, Florida. Friday, they went from Miami to Atlanta, Ga - she assumed they would arrive over the weekend - especially since she ordered using Priority Mail (2 Day delivery).
Nope, this morning the stamps - normal, generic, forever stamps, are in San Juan, PR - and she just called asking them to cancel the order and just have some delivered locally or give her the money back so she can go buy them at the local post office - they cannot accommodate that... but they want her to use this system to cast a vote.
When he chose to go to a protest armed like that he obviously was seeking the loss of life, not a peaceful assembly. And that is why I have no sympathy for the outcome he obviously sought.
