Oh absolutely. I grew up in Florissant and now live in Overland. Used to live in U City and yea.. the delmar divide is pretty touchy. Never went to the Loop after dark.

All the areas are either bad with beautiful hidden gems or beautiful with a couple dark spots. You can’t escape it, but you can be aware.

It’s just so fun and unique!

I’m also biased. My dad and grandparents are New Yorkers. It’s such a starry eyed city to me, I love it! (She says, not having been back since the early 00s.)
