It’s actually an art form that is communist, all humans drawn must conform to a set format. I know the common excuse is that pre-made anime stylings help make animation cheaper, but at this point with computer animation it really does not - it’s about all conforming to one. Also, because most anime looks a lil similar, it allows the viewer to get more swept by the dialogue and what they hear. In other words, anime allows for a more easily-driven Marxism than “cartoons” or other non-anime animation where you might be watching for the art. This is my contrived bullshit for the morning, I’m not totally right here but I don’t think I’m wrong either. I say this as most long-running American adult animation has completely sold out and actually displays hard anti-trump propaganda (family guy, South Park, etc.). I just hate having to read my cartoons, so I always rip on anime lol.
