Sure, it seems more of a novelty, but if Jesus didn't want his Church to be Universal (As in one, also the translation of "Catholic") he wouldn't have put so much effort into building an Apostolic Tradition as its foundation with a clear and defined leadership structure.

Community is required for our salvation. We cannot be hermits in the teachings of God. Likewise, we also cannot rely on just ANY community's interpretation either. All voices should be heard and all should be scrutinized equally.
What's important is that when we do come to conclusions, even if we don't like the conclusions personally, we are still willing to count ourselves among the same community and not fracture or isolate ourselves.
Neither merit nor Faith are enough to save you.
The Grace of God is the final component for your salvation. Many have had great Faith but did not act. Many had done great acts for the betterment of others but little Faith. Isn't it unjust for either of these to be cast aside?
No, both could have done better but the Grace of God is what saves them.
Those who are not saved by the Grace of God are those who knew they needed Faith but chose to ignore a relationship with God and those knew they needed to act to help those in need but chose to keep to themselves.
Any man who claims they have done enough through either merit or Faith to enter the Kingdom of Heaven will be found wanting. Only the humble will find the Grace of God is in their favor. Never assume you have done enough or love God enough for your salvation to be assured -- doing so only proves you have grown prideful.
Which version of the Bible do you have? There are many, so how do you know the one you have is the correct one?
Who decided what books would be in that Bible? How do you know some aren't missing? How do you know they were faithfully translated?
How do you even know if you aren't grafting your own ideas onto Scripture, perverting the messages to suit your own needs?
Scripture alone can take you down a rabbit hole. There have been plenty of people who have driven themselves mad trying to find connections and conspiracies within the Bible. We need guidance to interpret the Bible and understand context. Family, Tradition and Church are necessary to safeguard ourselves from misinterpretation.
They aren't in competition and they don't share authority. They are informed by the Authority of God and are given as much authority as is appropriate for each. Before the Bible was written down, how did Scripture have sole authority? Before the Church was formed, how did it have sole authority?
Tradition, Scripture, Apostolic Lineage, and Family are the cornerstones of the true Church of Christ. All four inform each other and all four are given authority by God. None can claim to hold full authority and none can claim to have no authority. They have as much authority as within their scope. When fractured, they are left wanting and the fault rests on those who let it fracture.
The Catholic Church is in the state it is because all the people who disliked how corrupt the higher ups were decided to leave instead of staying to fix it. This is why countries like Mexico are such corrupt shit-holes -- because instead of staying to fix their home, people flee only to end up straining other places they aren't welcome and everyone suffers as a result.
The Pope's words are only Dogma if he speaks on the subject of morality while upon the throne of the Vicar of Christ.

He could have done this, but it could result in a Trump/Harris administration with the possibility of Nancy Pelosi acting as President until Trump is inaugurated, which won't happen if the Senate is taken in Georgia because he will immediately be impeached. Not a good scenario.
Because he didn't do that, he is being sued by the Republican electors, which gives him a very strong legal excuse to not certify on the 6th. If he does count Dem electors and we later find out that the votes were indeed fraudulent, he would have knowingly committed a felony while thoroughly advised his action could result in him being complicit with a crime.
It allows him to act on the 6th without fear of partiality complaints at the SCOTUS. If he doesn't certify Dem votes, they will have to sue him in SCOTUS and THEY would have the burden of proof that fraud DIDN'T occur, which they cannot do in any capacity.
This means Pence acting on the 6th cannot be overturned and basically forces the contingent election.
That's the plan, anyway. Who knows what BS laws Democrats might twist until then to get their way.
