Kind of, but not really. If he agrees to get rid of the filibuster, then the dems will need him to agree to their bills or get at least one GOP to do so. Right now, I know that Hawley would absolutely vote for the $2000 stimulus so that would make Manchin less powerful regarding monetary policy. Regarding other stuff, Murkowsky, Collins, Romney, Graham, Sasse, etc. would be more than happy to vote with the dems, so Manchin's power would be limited.

I disagree. They are useful idiots, but the people who control them are actually evil and the ones in charge. American law makers are applying pressure on big tech to ban conservatives everywhere and it is coming from both republicans and democrats. There are very few places that have equal/more freedom of speech than the USA and almost all of them can be pressured to shut us down by our own government.
They won't. They were only able to in the past summer because they were allowed to. Big tech let them organize as they please, media gave them cover from criticism and even made them out to be heroes, prosecutors released them, Hollywood and corporate America donated millions to them, and dem mayors and governors ordered the police to stand down. The only reason for all of that was because they found them useful for their purposes. Now, they won't so they will be crushed immediately.

You are not reading the situation correctly. They are not scared, they smelled blood and they are coming in for the death blow. They want our movement humiliated and to do that, they are pretending to be scared to brand us as terrorists and come after us. They are already arresting a bunch of us, a bunch of people from Trump's cabinet have resigned and labeled us as terrorists and blamed Trump. They want him removed from office before the end of his term to rub our noses in the dirt. They want him to become a non-entity for our future political discourse, and if they remove him before the end of his term he won't be able to run for president ever again. They also want to do it for the history books, so they can teach their propaganda to future generations. They'll frame it as Trump attempting to lead a coup that failed and resulted in his removal.
We are, but we shouldn't be. Right now there should be no fog, Trump is leaving office on the 20th, he and everyone in his admin has made it clear. However, people still believing some secret plans are about to get executed are causing this fog of war situation for many.
I think this will be much worse unfortunately. This is a coordinated effort by all of corporate America. They won't stop at just the social media sites, be prepared to get banned by domain registrars, search engines, hosts, ISPs, telecoms, payment processers, etc. They are going to replicate the China model on us to stamp out any dissent.

We did trust Trump, and we still are. Trump practically conceded and even said he's not attending the inauguration. He is not telling us that he has this, and we just need to wait, some LARPers are.
For starters, we need to be prepared to get banned all across social media and that includes Twitter, Facebook, youtube, Instagram, reddit, etc. We need to set up our own alternatives. We need to start planning for future elections and for ways to make our voices heard regarding some of the insane policies these pieces of shit will be implementing. We need to talk about creating a grass roots movement like the tea party of yesteryear to organize and go to these politicians townhalls and apply pressure.
