Yep. Grew up in a white-minority area. You couldn't leave anything unattended. Hell, having a dog was almost a requirement because of crackheads and joggers looking for anything they could nick or strip from your house without having to break in.
Everyone knows why those who can pay absurd premiums to live in wealthy, white, gated/secluded areas. It's worth it, too, or else people wouldn't continue to pay 150%+ premiums to live in these areas.
In my current neighborhood (not even that rich, it's just pretty much all-white), I can leave cars/houses unlocked with minimal fear of theft. I don't encourage it, but there have been some times when I woke up and realized I left one of my entryways unlocked. I've forgotten tools outside in my front yard overnight and they were there in the morning. That would NEVER happen where I grew up. You could leave a pair of loppers for 15 minutes and it'd be gone.
Idgaf if it's "racist" or whatever, I knew from an early age that I wanted nothing to do with any neighborhood that wasn't all-white or virtually all-white. Remember, the top 10% wealthiest blacks are just as violent as the poorest whites. "Rednecks" might drive you crazy but at least you're not so worried about crime.
