I live abroad, and go back to the USA usually 2-3 times/year. last summer I was back on a business trip, and it was the first time I had been in an American airport for around 8-9 months or so.
I sat in the lounge and I was absolutely fucking flabbergasted at CNN. I'm not shitting you. I sat in the lounge for 2 hours, and CNN was on the whole time. Literally the entire 2 hours they were shitting on Trump non-stop. It was the first time I had watched cable TV or news of any kind in a few years (in the trump era) and I was absolutely floored. It was (is) legit a 24/7 propaganda network. Even Fox News didn't rail against Obama for literally hours and hours on end.
And this was the daytime TV. I can only imagine how awful it must be during the opinion section at night with Don "the dumbest man on television" Lemon.
Mitch was never MAGA. he was a temporary alliance on some issues, but was never fully on board. Now that trump's term is ending, he's trying to jump ship.

This is how I know you're trolling. We all know that whether or not Gab fails to moderate means jack shit to those who want it banned. They will just create accounts and make posts pretending to be conservatives, then post screenshots on Twitter and pretend like that represents all Gab users. Fake posting was done endlessly in the_donald (not that you would know, since you are a troll here) as bad faith actors tried to plant posts to give admins reason to ban the sub.

the site runs like shit
I've been using the site since 2017. when it's not getting hugged to death, it runs just fine. a few years ago, when reddit ban waves hit it would always go down completely. This latest wave of new joiners has been a lot better, as the site is still up, but slow--and that's even with what is probably a lot more people joining.
As I said before, Gab is the best we have so far. No amount of concern trolling is gonna change that.
Right now Gab is by far--by far the best we have. They are the most advanced, most developed, and most independent. And the CEO has been extremely based for years. He used to be in YCombinator with his own startup. He left over political differences. YCombinator is the biggest startup incubator in the world. Dude gave up possibly 10s, or even hundreds of millions of dollars and a career in Silicon Valley to start Gab.
Andrew Torba is fucking based and while Gab aint perfect, it's the best we've got.
Their setup isn't great and leaves them extremely vulnerable.

seriously. what in the hell were these people doing using AWS and Twilio for critical infrastructure? Surely they saw what happened to Gab and others with the deplatforming efforts in past years. They've seen what happened to the_d on reddit, and other conservative forums. They had to know that this was gonna happen.
