I used to swallow Democrat bullshit 10-20 years ago, here's how this works: Everyone knows and whispers it amongst the gay community but no one tells because they protect "their own" and won't expose secrets that are bad for "our" guys. It has always been like that.

I'm just a nobody but I lived in Mike Pence's Indiana and there were always rumors about him hiring gay escorts in hotels.

I'm open to discussion, but pretty much any state governor and or legislature who was all in for mask tyranny , lock downs, arresting people for being on the beach , REFUSES to do shit about stolen elections and ballot stuffing, or is gushing about the mark of the beast , is too fucking far gone to work with. My choices are flexible if we can all discuss these points and figure out which ones are beyond saving and deserve to get whatever they get.
I'm not trying to be contrarian here but there are a lot of services that WILL help you get your documentation for free. Here's the reality of being homeless:
- You don't have the necessary documentation
- You don't have anywhere to mail certified copies to
- You probably don't have $20+ to send for your birth certificate
- Social security cards are free but you , guess what, need ID! and somewhere to mail It to! they have a new rule that you only get 7 cards in your life time and then NO MORE.
- If you're transient and bounce from place to place and bridge to bridge, yeah, you've probably lost your ID and SS card and birth certificate ...... one or two or ten times. I have.
LOOPHOLE; These clinics/agencies can often sign a letter saying you're on their caseload, and waive some of these barriers.
So these clinics will help you pay the fees and they'll even let the dept of health / vital records / social security / etc mail those documents to their mailing address for you to pick up. And if you don't have a safe place to store them they may even KEEP them for you.
Some states you can then get a free ID or drivers license.
Yes! There ARE massive barriers to this!
There ARE workshops and clinics and agencies who will help you in almost every major city!

I spent a few years of my life sleeping in my car or under subway escalators and abandoned houses ; the last house I had started on fire and I lost the few shreds of documentation I had ............................. even more complicated because my name change order was SEALED and the only copy of it burned! I had a clinic in Seattle so everything, unseal my case and get a copy and reseal it, and then have my license mailed to their office.
What pisses me off is how instead of promoting solutions to this and empowering these people so they can get an ID they can use to stay in an SRO , or get a job, or apply for general assistance , these dumb fuckers only mention their problem and plight and disadvantages -- PROBABLY ALL TRUE -- and they don't give names of agencies that will do this for you and lift you out of their barriers.
Instead they're happy to cry "THATS RACIST" and do literally NOTHING to assist with their obstacles in getting an ID!
Excuse my bluntness, but what's the point in working under the table illegally, or resorting to selling drugs or yourself, or even stealing or whatever you have to do ------ when you can't get yourself out of that situation by applying for an honest job, or finding a $10-$20 a night hotel. [YES hotels may work with you if you plead your situation and say I have a job offer and just need a safe place to sleep. NO they will not do this if you have no ID unless they know you!]
[wellllllll okay some do in Mexico if you give them a deposit for the key and the towels and stuff ;) I have had several in small towns not care or ask in MX! but I'm Very well travelled , forget about this in America ! Almost nobody takes cash and wants a credit or debit card for incidentals now.]
So many people could be lifted up or get other public assistance or shelter , if you helped them get an ID and papers.
And the best these fucks can offer is "just let them vote without an ID" as if that solves anything, or as if those politicians will ever give a fuck if they live or die.
"Here's $5 or $50 or a sandwich to vote for me" barely even gets them through their crisis and desperation for a few hours or a day.
Why don't they advertise these services widely? Because they don't want your life to get better or remove the most basic obstacles you have to getting a job or somewhere to fucking sleep, they just want it to be easy for you to vote for them thinking you'll ever get any of that shit------- YOU WONT. Please find a clinic / homeless advocacy group as near to you as possible, or beg for bus fare there if you must, and get what you need.
They will never tell you that because they prefer you being trapped in your poverty and helplessness.
