I heard there's a national shortage of dilators. Guess they'll just have to GET FUCKED!

The machine carried Biden on their shoulders the entire race and then stopped the clock when they stumbled at the finish line. And we're supposed to accept that as fair. Fuck that shit.

That's French for take the blue pill.

Some elephants never remember. Especially if they're actually a fox. The media legitimized this clown show of a primary and campaign when he should have been laughed out of the room at every turn.

Some county positions you just fill out a form and pay a small fee and you're on the ballot. Irrigation district board and things like that.

Yeah. I don't think any of us would begrudge Trump if he did bow out. But that's not happening. And if it comes down to it, maybe America will still fight. But I can't predict that future nor do I want to.

I mean it is worth trying to improve things, whatever method is used. But even the best computer can't be secured from tampering. Especially when the silicon is a trade secret manufactured in a hostile country by an unaccountable company.

2
spacecoyote 2 points ago +2 / -0

That could well be justified but in my experience we're quick to forget in this country if the situation appears to go away. We went from Never Forget to Ilhan Omar pretty easily.

That's cute. Now do the rest of the attack surface...compromised silicon, intel ME, the list goes on and on. Not feasible.

Okay, and how do you independently verify and ensure all that in a way that will satisfy a people and government who have no idea what any of that means? Without locking everything up and handing the keys over to some unaccountable entity.

That's a requirement that's impossible. How do you prove that the code you have is what's running on the machine? How do you prove that there's nothing else running on the machine? Just get rid of the damn computers. I say this as someone who looks for every technological means of solving a problem. It's an excercise in futility.

Someone needs to reverse engineer a real machine and its firmware for security holes, backdoors, sloppiness and dirty tricks. It's cheaply engineered by shit tier labor so I doubt there's any high level encryption or anything. This is not the code we're looking for, just the front facing web stuff. Of course if the FBI has any use left they will be keeping a good eye on the company and their servers, workstations, source code etc.

Yep. You need a system so simple any idiot can understand and audit it. Manual punch cards (no levers!) with standard anti-counterfeiting techniques, plus digital and analog watermarks like we have on money. Take a picture with your phone for your own records and verification and then it gets counted by a mechanical tabulation machine. Tons of cameras rolling. No more bullshit.

Sorry but this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. JSON is used for exporting data; you can't use it for doing the math, that's done in the real code, this is just part of the frontend.

Agreed. This stuff could be true but its a distraction, tangentially related at best, and will get you labeled as a nutjob. Which is why Fox is pushing it.

Honestly I couldn't care less if they do or don't. Technically Hillary never conceded and it doesn't matter because concession is not a requirement and basically immaterial to the legal process.

"Must" is too strong a word. They have options...but none of them are good when evaluated realistically.
