You assume the point of a bioweapon is to kill in mass. Perhaps the engineers of this virus knew it had a lower mortality rate and was highly contagious. The purpose of this bioweapon was to instill fear so we will gratefully allow ourselves to be immunized with Bill Gates' nanobots (id2020).

Agreed. Linux. I've been running Fedora as my primary desktop computer since 2011. As long as you're not a PC gamer it will be an easy transition.

The article says, "Bill Gates pledges to leave his £30billion fortune to charity... rather than his children."

Must be true then.

It reminds me of the stickers on my milk that say my farmers pledge not to use hormone laced drugs on their dairy cows.

Fake news.

Perhaps prices aren't uniform across the country. In Maryland lunch is $2.90. To me that is extremely high for a single meal of the quality and quantity of a public school cafeteria. To me that suggests it is directly subsidized. I could be wrong and I appreciate your feedback.

Don't we already have welfare programs to assist in these situations? My argument is why is it the responsibility of the schools to feed the yoot of America? Why can't the mother in these dire situations who is eligible for welfare programs redeem her food stamps and pack her children lunches?

Because many people only do things when they have to. If you're going to feed their kids for them; bonus.

China was selling faulty (probably by design) testing kits to Germany. They've been falsifying their numbers since the beginning. What makes Frodo's brother think these ventilators are going to be of any quality? This is likely another media blitz to paint Trump in a negative light. The headline will read something like, "Trump failed to deliver ventilators to NY, Cuomo accepts China's heartfelt help." Then in two weeks we'll find out he never ordered anything from China.

I brought the topic up for discussion. And I'm not suggesting we stop feeding the children today, this week, this month, or even this year. Somehow I'm the asshole for suggesting parents should be responsible for their own children. Let's absolve the real assholes from their responsibilities (the children's parents). Let's not only absolve them, let's reward them by footing their bill. School shouldn't be the sole place from which children receive their nutrition. We're currently in a state of emergency where no children are going to school and many of our Governors have mandated that we shelter-in-place yet an exception to the shelter-in-place is for children to get their state prepared nutrition. We (the royal we) are too dependent on government. This is a problem.

Serious question: What makes you say the cost isn't subsidized? How could it not be? That money is coming from somewhere.

Here's an example of how it could be abused. I'm a family without citizenship. I show zero income because I work for cash and I don't pay taxes. I can afford meals but why pay for meals if I can get them for free? Just fill out this form stating I earned nothing the previous year. Boom free meals at the expense of tax-paying citizens.

I acknowledge that this problem wasn't created due to our current situation and that the public school systems have been feeding children of low income families for quite some time now. It is ripe for abuse and those that can afford lunch are paying multiple times over for meals to compensate for those paying nothing. Our current situation seems to be shining a light on the fact that kids would go without food without school. Our children should not be dependent on school for nutrition. School should be for education (in my humble opinion).

I agree, kids shouldn't go hungry. Why is it the responsibility of the public school system to ensure they don't go hungry?

What do you mean by Google's GPU? Since when did Google get into the business of making/assembling GPU's? Is this a graphics chipset for their phones? Is this what they've branded their cloud processors as? Are they in direct competition with Nvidia? Nevermind. I see u/Malecite already pointed out that "Adreno" is a Qualcomm product. Very misleading headline. Careful, you might be considered fake news.
