What did Pence do? I’m seeing a lot of hate for him lately.
If it’s the counting of the EC votes in the Senate session, it seems pretty clear that the VP role is largely ceremonial. Him counting the Trump votes would be a conflict of interest, he’d be deciding his own continued employment.
He was talking about ultraviolet light. UV has been known to kill virues and bacteria for decades, it’s conmonly seen in doctors offices and hospital waiting rooms as part of the air filtration equipment. Trump was speculating about getting UV light inside the body either through the skin or, and this actually exists, into the lungs via tracheal tube. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bronsonstocking/2020/04/24/potential-wuhan-coronavirus-treatment-uses-uv-light-to-disinfect-lungs-n2567591
He's been the Judiciary Committee chair for over a year, so he's had it for awhile. I think the thing last week was just some kind of formalization.
