They win with incumbent advantage, not so much cheating. The experts at cheating are in those cities in the swing states. If we run good candidates against the rinos and vote, the count will reflect that in most places.

Every year we should all have a Federal two week holiday where we are supposed to stay at home. We can all rush out and stock up for our coordinated two weeks of social distancing. I bet this year seasonal flu will be down from our current efforts.

The stores I’ve been to have been selling out of everything. So if travel and sports weren’t dead, we would all see the economy is humming.

I suggest we call it the American Chinese New Year.

What a great political ad that would make.

It is a mistake to say the house didn’t do their job in writing the articles of impeachment. It is a mistake to say the house didn’t do it’s job to prove their case. We have noises already about how they will impeach again. It is like we are egging them on to try harder.

We should say the Democrats want to impeach Trump. They are searching for a reason. They are watching everything Trump does while imagining the worst possible motives. They are in a bubble that includes the media that reinforces all of their anti-Trump fantasies.

But when the claims are investigated the facts get in the way.

Russia collusion fell apart because Trump did nothing wrong. In fact it became proof of Democrats colluding with foreign powers to harm the President and our country.

The Ukraine phone call was supposed to be proof of bad faith in our President. They were claiming quid pro quo and bribery. In fact I believe they were going to write four articles of impeachment. Articles that claim quid pro quo and bribery. And two more to round off their feelings about things. If quid pro quo at the expense of the country was true and if bribery was true, attacking the articles claiming abuse of power and obstruction of Congress as not crimes would be silly.

But facts got in the way again. The prosecution puts on a brave face. But they don’t believe quid pro quo and bribery took place. That is why those articles are gone. The house did its job. They didn’t fail to call witnesses when they had the chance. They found the truth and stopped.

The truth isn’t hidden. Criticizing the prosecution this way implies that they should just start over and do a better job this time. It implies that Trump won’t get convicted because of mistakes by the prosecution. It implies that Trump might be guilty but we are happy to get him free on a technicality.

So I am not as much pro life as some of you. I used to be pro choice, however. That was probably because everyone in my circle was pro choice, and I am pro liberty. It feels like liberty to be pro choice.

I don’t know if I am ready to outlaw abortion. But I don’t want to pay for it, and don’t want to encourage it. Is that a compromise position that might be acceptable? I don’t know.

But what happened to me was my wife and I tried to have children and didn’t. So we went the medical route. That lead to IVF.

IVF has you looking at and closely paying attention to embryos. IVF is a technology that wouldn’t exist without some middle ground in the rules surrounding embryos. And I am grateful that this technology exists.

But the effort, expense, heart ache, suspense, and eventual success makes you appreciate children quite a lot. I have a very healthy 8 year old son that I love dearly. We did have a frozen embryo that we tried to have become a second child and it failed to become a pregnancy. All of these experiences together put such a value on children that I started considering myself pro life.

I see embryos as potential children and I see developing fetuses as children. I am not prepared to lock up doctors or parents for their abortions. But I fantasize about future technology that turns abortions into very early adoptions. Abortion as it exists today is the legacy of the eugenics movement. I am happy to align myself with people who are stronger pro life than I am. I understand and respect their position.

And as a Trump supporter, I am happy that Trump is pro life.

But that means any Democrat would have no trouble thinking that Trump believed that Biden might be corrupt. The Democratic talking point that corruption is debunked is irrelevant. If President Trump believed that Biden could be corrupt, then investigating that belief is in the interests of the United States as he sees it.

Truth of corruption is not required. That investigating a political rival could be in Trumps personal interest is not relevant. Improving the economy is also in Trumps personal interest, but that doesn’t make it wrong to seek an improving economy.

On top of all that, what kind of mental gymnastics does someone have to have to think Biden can’t possibly be corrupt.

This is projection. They impeached for political reasons. The party vote proves it. The Dems apparently do everything for political reasons. So they know President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Biden for political reasons, because that is how they see the world.

But they are so sure, they didn’t even think to ask what was President Trumps motivation. Had they asked, they would learn that he is a better man than any of them. Even if Biden were squeaking clean, it is not unreasonable to consider the potential that he is corrupt. There is a reason that the appearance of a conflict of interest is to be avoided, and not just avoid actual conflict of interest. Under Obama, the ambassador to Ukraine was briefed on how to handle this potential conflict of interest with Vice President Biden.

It seems obvious to me that President Trump would love to face Biden when he seeks re-election in 2020. Ukraine has lots of proven corruption. The interest in rooting out corruption is counterproductive to Trumps political goals.

By any measure other than “compliments by Trump” the US is tougher on Russia than Obama ever was. And by any measure, support for Ukraine against Russia is stronger under Trump than Obama ever was...before and after the “perfect” call.

So even if the Dems are correct that Trump tried to strong arm Ukraine to look into Biden. It must be because Trump believed this was in the interest of the US.

Obstruction is even sillier. There are three equal branches of government for a reason. When there is a dispute between two branches, it is the third branch that breaks the tie. Go to the courts if the Executive branch won’t do what you want. Until then, obstruction is just not possible.
